Re: How to do Law and what subjects should I take in 11th
Law means LL.B. (bachelor of Law) can be pursed in two ways according to one's academic qualification.
As you have completed 10th so you should try for 5 years Integrated LL.B Degree after 12th. The eligible candidate aspiring for LL.B. must be an Indian Citizen having completed 12th with any stream from a recognised Board with 50% marks within the age of 20 years can apply for 5 years LL.B. course through appearing entrance exam like CLAT(Common Law Admission Test). Regarding subjects of studies for 10+2 level, you should not take Science subject rather you should go with Arts or Commerce with an aim to purse LL.B. after 10+2. |

Re: How to do Law and what subjects should I take in 11th
You can do law as soon as after completing 12th. However there is no criteria for particular subjects to pursue law degree. You can complete 12th in any stream and then apply for the law course.
Earlier candidates had to obtain a graduation degree before applying for the LLB course. But now Bar Council of India has merged a graduation course like BA, B.Com, B.Sc with LLB that can be pursued after 12th. Depending on your stream in 12th you can pursue the integrated law course of 5 years. This is better option in comparison to LLB 3 years. To pursue LLB you will first have to spend 3 years doing a graduation and another 3 years in LLB. While the integrated LLB course is 5 years long after which you will have a graduation degree as well LLB. It ends up saving one year for you. It is called integrated course because the course curriculum involves the study of graduation course along with in-depth study of law. The integrated course can be taken in BA LLB, B.Com LLB. B.Sc LLB etc depending on your subjects in 12th. Eligibility 1. You must complete 12th from a recognized board. 2. Minimum of 50 percent marks in 12th. 3. At least 45 percent marks for SC/ST candidates. 4. It is mandatory to have completed 12th to apply for entrance exams like CLAT. 5. The age limit for integrated LLB course is 20 years. 6. There is 2 years relaxation for SC/ST candidates. If you meet the criteria above then apply for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) for admission in law school. CLAT Syllabus Elementary Mathematics General English General Knowledge Current Affairs Legal Aptitude Logical Reasoning |

Quote:
LLB or bachelors of law is the best degree to be a lawyer. You can do this after graduation from any stream. If you seriously wants to go in this field then don't go for maths or science subjects after 11th as it may decrease your overall percentage and you may not get good college for your graduation. Instead think smartly. Take subjects in which you are good such as arts, commerce etc and in that case you may take maths or science if you are good at it. If you get a good percentage in your 12th boards you can take admission in any reputed graduation college like delhi university easily. You can do graduation in any field either BA, B.com etc but i will suggest you to go for B.com as then you will have knowledge about economics which may help you in solving and understanding problems related to it as a financial advisor of any company in future. Also it will help you to understand some of the subjects of LLB easily. Re: How to do Law and what subjects should I take in 11th
You can surely opt for Law even if you study science in Class 11th & 12th. As you will get admission in LLB only after you clear CLAT (Common Law Admission Test).
