What are the essential subjects which a student is supposed to study in std.11th and 12th....for pursuing his/her Career in B.Sc Biotechnology???? Is Maths a Compulsory subject......??? Please reply soon with all the detailed information.......!!!!!!

Biotechnology is a field of applied biology that involves the use of living organisms and bioprocesses in engineering, technology, medicine and other fields requiring bioproducts.
For a career in Biotechnology one must have both BIOLOGY and MATHEMATICS for making a career.

and after 12th class you need to do Engineering entrance and pursue your engineering in BIOTECHNOLOGY.It is in boom in these days.

For persuing B.Sc. biotechnology,you should opt biology,chemistry,physics or if biotechnology is the subject in your high school exam then you can chose that one.Maths is not compulsary for further studies in biotechnology.

basically. for a carrer in biotechnology, mathematics is not that important. but then since biotechnology also has genetic engineering in it, i would suggest you to take up all the main subjects ie. physics, chemistry, biology and mathematics. this would alwys help you in future one way or the other.

if you decided that you will study on biotechnology then obviously important subject in 11 and 12 is biology. you should study biology very carefully in 11 and 12 if you want to build your careers in biotechnology field. then next important subject is chemistry.

mathematics is essential for technical study. so obviously you have to study mathematics. as you are a science student so you should know mathematics very well. you can not go so far without mathematics.

Biotechnology is a combination of biology and technology.Inorder to pursue a career in B.Sc (Biotechnology),you need to have Science stream in your 12th.Biology is an important subject that you need to pay much attention to.
Though some of the institutions allow even without maths but it is necessary in the long run.Chemistry too is an important subject.

You need to be good in biology as it will be help you in your future.

Maths may or may not be compulsory.

Biology is the subject which you need to focus more for to go through biotechnology in good manner.

Biology is a combination of botany and zoology.

in your 11th and 12 th you may come across some of the lessons like biotechnology, genetic engineering and recombinant dna technology. Be clear cut about these lessons.

In biotechnology you have to perform the experiments by using the new technologies.

Biotechnology main purpose is to develop human beneficial products using the microbes.

well biotechnology is having great scope ahead,

because it consist of biology and technology part.

the essential subjects should be persue after 10th
1.physics
2.chemistry
3.biology
4.maths
5.english.

but taking both of them is a hectic work right!!!

don't think so , if you have interested and you have goal right ahead.

then don't think about any thing..go and choose the above subjects

Hey if you want to persue the under graduation course in bio technology then all you need is to focus in biology.You can even take up your 12th from Maths stream and then join the under graduation course but always Biology is going to benefit you.

So its better that you complete the 12th with biology as the main subject.

biotechnology is most vastly spreading technology..you should be strong in biology section specially genetics,advance biology,...somehow you also need to focus on chemistry..because some rules are be followed by a biotechnology subject.all three branches of science(physcs,chemistry,biology)is interrelated....maths is not as necessary much for biotechnology

You need bio with pcm for biotechnology.So that you can apply for this.

you can skip maths if you want to make your career in biology field....but if you go for courses like biotechnology,food technology......you will need some knowledge of maths too......without maths you can go for botany,zoology etc.....also you can go for biochemistry but it involves a paper on bio statistics too.......

If you want to do career in B.sc in Biotechnology then important subject in 11th and 12th is Biology. Career in biotechnology is good because it is a batter field in the medicine. After completing this course you can get a good job in a big company of medicine.
