Hello ..m Alka.. M doing b. Com final year From dn collage kkr. And m NCC cadet ( "cee" certificate with 'B' grad) . I want to join Indian army . I have no idea how to enter in army .. Plz tell me the way .. How can i make my future bright .. By joining the Indian army.?

Any graduate can join Indian Army.For latest recruitments please see the Employment news.There are certain condition which you have to fullfill.

go for nda after 12th and for cds after graduation.
there r entry level position in ssbs after 12th as well.

1)FOR INDIAN MILITARY ACADEMY(IMA)
-mode of selection is by campus selection or SSB interview.For this you need to see advertisement in the newspaper
The age limit=(18-25years)

2)officer training academy=
-a)short service commission(non-technical),

age limit=19-25 year,you can go through CDSE CONDUCTED BY UPSC.
FOR THIs refer the advitisement.

b)short service commission (technical),

age limit=20-27 yrs,

3)you can go through direct SSB interview.

eligibility for CDS:

>> Candidate must be a citizen of India.

>> Candidate must have a age limit of 19-25 years for joining in Indian Army.

>> Candidate must strictly be a unmarried male candidates.

>> Regarding the education qualification for the CDS Exam candidates need to have completed a degree in any discipline from a recognized university with a fair percentage.

A Commerce graduates can join indian army and minimum percentage is 60% or just pass-out you are in good position....

You can join the Indian Army but firstly you have to pass your 12th boards..then you can appear for the NDA exam (National Defense Academy)

NDA exam takes place twice a year in April and August and the minimum qualifications required to appear in the exam are :-

1) you should be a 12th pass-out in any stream for joining the Indian Army

2) you should within the age limit of 16.5 - 19 years

Apart from these..you should be physically fit and should have a perfect eyesight..

You have to first clear the written exam then the interview and then the medical examination..

Army recruits unmarried boys, whose age are between 16.5 to 19 years through an exam NDA.

Since you are a graduate in B.Com, then you have to apply for IMA (Indian Military Academy)

Eligibility criteria for this is :

1. You have to be an indian national
2. Your age should be between 19-24 years
3. You should be a graduate from a Recognized university.
4. Maths is compulsory subject, if you want to go in the Naval or Air wings.

Combined Defense Services (CDS) Exam is generally conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) to recuirt the Indian Military Academy(IMA), Officers Training Academy(OTA), Naval Academy and Air Force Academy(AFA)


According to the Eligibility Criteria:

i)For IMA and OTA you must have any degree from any recognized University.

ii)For Naval Academy you should have B.Sc in Physics or Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering(BE).

Yes, you can join Indian Army being an commerce students

You can write CDS(Common Defence Service) or NDA(National Defence Academy) exam. The exam is conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission).

according to ur qualifications u can join the indian army .presentely u doing b.com final year.
but according to indian army at the time of joining ur graduation will be completed with minimum 50% marks.application form is avilable in ur unit. jeet from delhi

After qualifying in CDS exam, you can join in Army wing..

Only Male candidates are eligible to join the Indian Army.But as you are a female as your Name implies so you are unable to join the Indian army.

However the eligibility for the same is as under-

To enter into the army there will be an entrance exam known as NDA. NDA stands for National Defence Academy. It is conducted by Union Public Service Commission every year. The educational qualification is 12th standard. The age limit is 18-21 years. The applications are filled through online only. Through NDA you can join in army or navy or airforce.

You want to join the Indian Military Academy(IMA), for serving the nation, which is really appreciable.I appreciate it. If you are a girl with indomitable spirit of patriotism & adventure , Then the IMA would be the best carrier , you have got, I do think. As girls are not eligible for the NDA (NATIONAL DEFENCE ACDEMY) examination, Which is also a best way for making a way in Indian Army just after 12th,. So the girls have opportunity for apply in Indian Army after the completion of their graduation,. Final year candidates can also apply for the CDSE .

In order to apply for the IMA , there is a Examination commonly known as COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE EXAMINATION, This examination is conducted by the UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (UPSC) every year .

As you are pursing Graduation in Commerce, you will be eligible to join Indian Army through CDS entrance exam after Graduation provided you fulfill other eligibility criteria.
