In order to get recognition on All India Level, the technical program must be pursued by those universities and institutes which are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education [AICTE]. Since, you have already mentioned that the Guwahati University is not approved by the AICTE you must rethink about pursuing B.Tech course from the mentioned University as it may make your road to Higher studies a bit uncomfortable. As you have not started your bachelors program as of now you still have the chance to make a choice.

Institute of Science and Technology-Gauhati University is AICTE approved. Further details regarding this can be checked at University Notice Board. Also the updated AICTE list will mention about IST-GU. All admission are through CEE.

Eligibility for taking admission:

One has to pass the secondary examination with atleast 45% marks after that they can apply for BA , BSC while in case of the post graduate students they actually need to pass the 10+2+3 pattern After that they can apply for the admission.

Admission procedure for the distance education in the Gauhati University:

While admission goes on, you will be notified with the admission form reading the graduate and other postgraduate courses. For this, you need to pay only three hundred and fifty rupees. Once you are satisfied with the letter of the law you can fill the admission form and send to the director of the university.

In our India institution are affiliated either from UGC or AICTE. So as Guwahati University is UGC approved so there is no any problem to do any course not even engineering. Most of the our Indian University are recognized by the UGC not from AICTE.
