M.A Economics stands for Master of Arts in Economics. It is a two-year post-graduate economic degree course in Arts field. Candidates who have completed Bachelor's degree in Economics or in any other discipline with Economics as main subject or one of the subject from a Government recognised university are eligible to pursue M.A. Economics course.

Most of the colleges offer admissions in M.A. Economics course on basis of merit of Graduation aggregate and some top reputed institutions conducts an entrance examination on their own to find merit candidates for offering admission in M.A. Economics course.

The admission process for M.A. (Economics) course process generally starts in the month of June and the entrance examination will be held in the month of April/ May based on the university you choose for pursuing your M.A. (Economics) course.
