respected sir,please guide me how to get entry in IIT to do phd in economics,when will they conduct exam?question paper pattern?etc,thanking you sir.

In the IIT’s candidates can submit an application for carrying out a Ph.D program all round the year. Even though the application forms from the candidates are processed only two times a year. It will be during July and January. Candidates need to have masters with more than 60% of marks. IITK offers Ph.D programs for economics.

Apart from getting 60% marks in masters one should have passed atleast one national level exam viz., GATE, JRF(UGC) OR NET OR MPhil (in some IITs, viz., IITH, IITBBS). The mode selection process is through written/oral or both test/s.

Sure, you can do it from any of the IITs, subject to fullfillment of minimum eligibility criteria fix by the institute (as the minimum eligibility criteria changes from IIT to IIT)

I have done my M.Sc. Economics from L.P.U, with 8 cgcpa out of 10, can I go for phd in eco from IIT Delhi or else?
