Re: How to get bank job after doing final year B.Tech IT?
It is possible to apply for the banking job. But yes as some people have told you, it is not recommended for Engineering graduates. The banking jobs only requires graduation degree, which could be any course like BA, B.Com etc.
For Engineering graduates, it is not recommended to apply for the banking jobs since you can have better job in related field which in your case would be Information Technology. You can apply for the job in various IT firms such as: Infosys Wipro HCL Tech Mahindra Microsoft IBM It is recommended to apply for job in these companies or SMEs which still would be better than banking job. I would only recommend either SBI Bank PO or the IBPS Bank PO entrance exam. If you are not eligible for these exams then please do not apply for banking job. IBPS stands for Institute of Banking Personnel Services. It conducts entrance exams for 20 public sector banks. IBPS Bank PO Eligibility 1. You should have graduation degree. 2. With at least 60 percent marks. 3. SC/ST should have 55 percent marks. 4. Diploma/degree in Computers is also required. Your B.Tech in IT would be sufficient. 5. The age limit is 20 to 28 years. 6. Three years relaxation for OBC. 7. Five years relaxation for SC/ST. 8. Ten years relaxation for PWD. State Bank of India also conducts a Bank PO exam. It does not rely on the IBPS to conduct its entrance exam. Therefore in case you are not eligible for IBPS Bank PO, then consider appearing for the SBI Bank PO. SBI Bank PO Eligibility 1. A graduation degree from valid college. 2. There is no minimum marks criteria. 3. You should have Computer operating skills. 4. Age limit is 21 to 30 years. 5. There is 3 years relaxation for OBC. 6. While on the other hand 5 years for SC/ST. |

Re: How to get bank job after doing final year B.Tech IT?
Yes you can apply for Bank jobs in India after completion of your Engineering Graduation.
Banks exams are conducted by IBPS and SBI for all the government banks recruitment in India. You can apply for following posts in bank after completion of Engineering Graduation: -Probationary Officer -Specialist Officer -Clerk If you are only interested in Engineering jobs then apply for Specialist officer posts. There are many type of specialist officers in bank and engineering graduates can apply for this post. PO and Clerk are more related to banking field and if you don't want to do a job which doesn't involve engineering basics then you should not apply for this exam. Age Limit for Bank Exams: For Clerk - 18 to 28 years For PO - 21 to 30 years For Specialist Officers - 21 to 35 years Age relaxation is available to reserved category candidates. SC/ST : 5 years relaxation OBC : 3 years relaxation PWD : 10 years relaxation Selection Procedure: -Written examination -Interview You have to clear cut off marks in written then only you will be eligible for interview. Hence be prepared for the written exam. |
