To become a CBI officer you need to be a graduate first. Then after completing graduation you can give the CGL exam which SSC conducts for the post of sub-inspector in CBI.

Eligibility Criteria:-

CGLE stands for Combined Graduate Level Examination. This is a recruitment exam to different posts and one needs to be a graduate to sit for this exam. This exam as mentioned earlier is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission.

Nationality:-

You need to be a citizen of India.

Educational Qualification:-

The minimum qualification required to become a CBI officer is a bachelor's degree. You need to be a graduate in any discipline of your choice from a recognized university.

Age Criteria:-

• Minimum Age Limit: 20 years
• Maximum Age Limit: 27 years

Age Relaxation:-

• SC/ST - 5 years
• OBC - 3 years
• Physically Handicapped (PH) - 10 years
• PH + OBC - 13 years
• PH + SC/ST - 15 years

Selection Procedure:-

The Examination will be conducted in three tiers as indicated below:

Tier -I -- Written Examination (Objective Multiple Choice Type)
Tier -II -- Written Examination (Objective Multiple Choice Type)
Tier -III -- Personality Test /Interview/Computer Proficiency Test or Skill Test

Tier I Exam Pattern:-

1. General Intelligence & Reasoning- 50 marks
2. General Awareness- 50 marks
3. Numerical Aptitude- 50 marks
4. English Comprehension- 50 marks

Tier II Exam Pattern:-

1. Arithmetical Ability- 200 marks(100 Questions)
2. English Language & Comprehension- 200 marks(100 Questions)

No, 12th standard completed candidate can't be eligible for CBI(Central Bureau of Investigation) because the educational qualification is Graduation.

Eligibility criteria:-

The applicant should be complete bachelor's degree from a recognised university.

No need of percentage restrictions to apply this examination.

Candidate should be a citizen of India.

The graduation must be complete from a recognised university of India.

Age criteria:-

The candidates age should be in between 18 years to 27 years,

Three years relaxation for OBC candidates,

Five years relaxation for SC/ST candidates.


Selection procedure:-

Written examination,

Personal interview.

Central Bureau of Investigation is the top most investigation agency in the country.It investigates the top and big cases in the country.For getting into that you need to write the exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission.

The Eligibility details of the P.O posts are as follows:
