You are eligible to apply for the Indian Air force as an officer through two entry schemes. These schemes are National Defence Academy Examination(NDA) and Technical Entry Scheme(TES). Yes,you can join air force through NDA only. This exam is to enter into all three defence forces.

you need to appear for NDA exam to enter into air force. According to eligibility criteria of nda,you should have to passed in math and physics in 12 class.

First you have to clear nda exam and you can join any of the three fields which are listed below . i.e.

To join in Indian Air force there are two important ways

NDA:

NDA is the exam conducted by UPSC named as National Defense Academy Exam. To be eligible to apply in this exam you must have cleared your 12th std. And your age must be above 16 1/2 years and below 19. To join air force you must have physics, chemistry as your main subjects in 12th.

CDS:

CDS is another exam conducted by UPSC named as Combined Defense Service Exam. On clearing this exam you can enter into defense services as a chief officer. To appear in this exam you must be a graduate in any science discipline from a recognized university.

Thus you can join in Indian Airforce by appearing and clearing NDA exam.

NDA allows to aaply for army,air force,navy for intermediate candidates.
The criteria for applying in NDA are

1)10+2 passed with physics nad maths in 10+2
2)any stream for army.
3)Age-16.5 to 19 years
when the course is due to commence.
4)No percentage required.

UPSC conducts NDA,percentage is not an issue.
Only pass marks is required.

NDA is only for intermediate candidates.
NDA is a three stage selection with written exam followed by SSB interview,then physical test.

Age is 16.5 to 19 years(at the time of commencement of the course)
It nearly takes 1 year to complete all the three stages of selection,hence it is advisable that one must apply when age is 15.5 to 18 years.

If applied at an age of 18 years 1 day,after completion of selection procedure (after 1 year) age will be 19 years 1 day,which is out of criteria.

NDA offers permanent commission to cadre in all three wings in air force,navy,army.

Since you have passed the +2 examination.So the best opportunity for you to join in the Indian Air Force is by NDA entry .But you are eligible only if you have physics,mathematics and English as main paper in the board examination.This is conducted by UPSC twice in year in the month of April and September.The examination is conducted in two phase before you become eligible to join the training.

The written examination is of 6 hrs duration with a interval after first 3 hrs .The first paper is of Mathematics and other one is General Ability.Both the paper consists of 300 and 600 marks respectively.

The selected candidates are then send a call letter for the SSB and in the process your medical will also take place. But for Air Force you are given some time for the medical after you completed your SSB.

The age criteria for the students must be between 16.5-19.5 years.There is also negative marking of 1/4 of a question on each wrong answer.
