sir i was 12th pssed from cbse board. and i m pursuing diploma in mechanical engg. i m intrested to join indian air force from 12th class bcoz i am in last yr of diploma and this is my last yr to apply think so. so how to apply for this

How To Join Indian Air Force

After 12th..you can appear for the National Defence Academy(NDA) Exam which is conducted every year in the months of April and August by the UPSC..

A candidate is eligible to appear for the NDA Exam only if the candidate satisfies the following conditions :-

>> Candidate must be within the age limit of 16.5-19 years as on 1st January or 1st July..

>> Candidate must have completed 12th from a recognized board with Physics and Maths for Air Force..

>> you must also satisfy the physical eligibility criterion for clearing the Medical Exam

You need to clear the following rounds in order to get recruited :-

>> Written Exam
>> SSB Interview
>> Medical Examination

written exam will test you on the basis of :-

>> General Ability Test
>> Maths

Go through the physical eligibility criterion that I have attached for your reference..

If you have passed 12th with PCM as your main subjects , then after that you can join Indian Air Force through the NDA Examination.

NDA Examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission every year on two occasions in the months of April and August as NDA-I and NDA-II respectively.

The Qualifications that you require for NDA Examination are :

* Your age must lie in between 16.5-19 years.

* You must be an Indian Male.

* You must be unmarried.

* You must be physically and mentally fit.

* You must have passed 12th from any recognized board with PCM as your key subjects.

Indian Air Force can be joined through NDA after 12th from Science stream.

NDA - National Defence Academy, the entrance exam for which is conducted by UPSC twice every year as NDA-I and NDA-II for an entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air force wing of NDA.

The eligible candidate aspiring to join Indian Air Force, must be an unmarried Indian male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised Board within the age 16.5 to 19 years with good Physical and Mental Health.
