Yes. You are eligible to join Army after completion of your 12th Class with 66% of marks.

For this, you have to appear for NDA Exam which is going to be conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) twice a year.

You can also join the other defence services like
-Navy wing
-Air Force wing by cracking this exam.

You can join Indian Army through appearing NDA(National Defence Academy) entrance exam conducted by UPSC twice every year as NDA-I and NDA-II.

You must have required qualification to apply for NDA which is as follows:-

-Only male candidate is eligible for NDA. The candidate should be unmarried Indian Citizen.
-Should have completed 12th in any stream from a recognised Board. The final year 12th exam appearing candidate is also eligible for NDA.

For this you have to qualify the N.D.A exam.

N.D.A. Exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice.

Dear Aspirant,

For joining the army you need to write the entrance exams which are conducted by the UPSC.

In the application form during filling your details.You need to select your board.Whether it is Army or naval or airforce.

After that the exam hall ticket will be send to you with in few days.The after the exam if you are selected for further rounds.

There will be a call from the board of UPSC for the interview.There you need to show the documents and the certificates which you claim at the time of filling the application form.

After the interview if you are selected the candidates are trained for 1 year with a stipend of a pay mentioned in the brochure.

For that 1 year the candidate should be away from home and not to be married for 1 year till the training period is finished.

Note

If at all any remarks are bad in the training session the candidate can be sent back to his home and unselect the candidate.

For Indian Army examination , You have to enter the NDA Examination and NDA Stands for National Defence Academy Examination .

This examination is conducted by UPSC twice in a year and for admission to Army wings , Navy wings and Air force wings examination .

If you are interested , you can also apply for Indian Navy or Air force wings examination . It is single entry examination to enter all these services .

You can join Army or any other wing of the Indian Defense by appearing in the All India Entrance Examination named NDA. This exam is being organized and conducted every year by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) every year for the selection of young candidates for the posts in them. NDA stands for the National Defense Academy.

This exam can only be attempted by the Unmarried Male Candidates. Age with 16.5 to 19 years in the year of application and also physical and mental fitness is compulsory. Besides this another important factor is that Only Science students can apply for the 3 wings of the Defense, but the rest Commerce and Arts ones can only apply for the Army and none else.

This can be attempted by 12th pass/appeared candidates but not before that. If you wish to apply for the NDA 2013, Click Here. The last date to apply for it is on 20th January 2013 and the exam scheduled on 7th April 2013 Sunday. Also as per your query no minimum percentage is required for the NDA. So yes with 66% marks also you can very well apply for the NDA and get through the Indian Army after successful clarification of the Physical Test and SSB Interview.
