I'm doing my 2nd year B.E(cse dept).I wish to join the CBI.so tell me the ways to join it and the qualifications required.

you can join cbi after completing your b.e. in there technical branch.

you have to appear for entrance which is conducted every year by upsc for entry to cbi.

after passing the entrance and interview and completing the training you will be appointed as junior investigation officer or sub inspector of CBI.

You need to prepare for civil services examination to become an officer in the cbi or have an update over the employment news for openings so you can find out the way and the details of applying for cbi post.

you can go for selection process through staff selection board.

first of all you should complete your b.teck.then in final/prefinal year you can fill the form of upsc,upsc conducts exam for cbi.

joining in cbi has lot of formalities .. qualification you should possess a ug degree and you have to take few exams to join in cbi

you may prepare for direct entry SI entrance examination for entry in CBI or prepare for civil services examination to be an ips officer as an officer in CBI.

hi,as per my information To start a carer in CBI, SSC is the only medium to join CBI. Besides that officers from state police gets deputation to join CBI. If you appear in Civil services Exam conducted by UPSC and manage to succeed and get IPS you can join CBI at a higher level.

CBI recruits through SSC ( staff selection commission) or you could also get into it by appearing for UPSC for the post of Sub-inspector and then approach the CBI department. You should keep yourself updated about the recruitment and Entrance exam for the same, which you can find in employment news (news paper) by the end of december every year available in your local market or could visit regularly to the official website of SSC and UPSC.
The application form is also obtainable from the designated head post office throughout the country.

The minimum qualification for appearing in UPSC exam is Bachelors degree in any discipline.
The exam is conducted in two phases
1.Preliminary exam
2.Main exam
The preliminary exam is held in the month of May/June and the Main Examination in October/November.

Minimum age-21 years
Maximum age-30 years
Age relaxation for SC/ST is 5 years and OBC is 3 years.

First of all u have to complete your B.E.
then u have to appear in test which is conducted by UPSC every year

and then training

Hi, Literally there is no direct entry for CBI. Normally all important posts are filled through deputation from other departments. For lower ranks, I believe, you can enter through SSC and UPSC. Do check for the same.

But Somethings I haven't Understood Are:
I)Through SSC
I checked the Net and found that SSC Gives CBI Sub-Inspector Rank,
Q) How To Join CBI If I Clear SSC?? I mean Will there be an Option to tick like appling exam for CBI/CPO Etc????
Q) I Also Found some forum says that It Is Slow Carrier Joining as Sub-Inspector, Promotions Are Slow(around 4-5 years), IS this True??

II)Through UPSC
Q) How Months Preparations Does Usually take To Crack UPSC??
Q) IS there a option In UPSC to Apply For IPS or CBI??? As I read on the Posts, They[CBI] Take IPS's so, after I've been selected As an IPS, How Will I Join CBI?? Will They[UPSC] Offer me Various POST like CBI/IFS to Chose????

CBI(Central Bureau of Investigation) is one of the greatest job under Central Government.
so this is hard to get a job as CBI,as there are so many steps to get the job.
You may take admission in CBI through SSC ( staff selection commission) or through UPSC exam.
there are some rules in getting job such as:
1:entrance exam
2:fitness test(proper hight,weight,chest)
3:Interview.
4:minimum educational qualification is graduate degree.

one is SSC graduate level which is conducted every year.after passing this exam you can become sub inspector in CBI.

also you can join CBI as a officer by passing UPSC exam.after getting good all India rank you can get IPS.

Sorry i cannot understand whether CBI is for Central Bureau of Investigation or Central Bank Of India.
If it is Central Bureau Of Investigation then Eligibility Criteria Is :
a) Nationality : Indian,Nepal,Bhutan
b) Educational Qualification : Minimum 60% in BE.
c) Age Limit : Minimum 21 Years and Maximum 27 years.
You have to give UPSC CBI Recruitment Exam.
If it is Central Bank Of India them eligibility is :
Degree in any discipline from a Recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
OR,
A pass with 50% marks in HSC examination of 10+2 or Pre-University or any equivalent examination / Diploma in Banking recognized by Central/State Government.
OR,
A pass with 60% marks in the aggregate in Matriculation / SSC/ 10th Std. examination or equivalent.

UPSC is responsible for recruitment of officers in CBI. You need to appear in civil services exam in order to become junior investigation officer or sub inspector of CBI.

After clearing the written exam & subsequently the interview you will be given training for a time period. After successful completion of training you will be inducted into CBI.
