Yes you can join Indian army after completing B.tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering. Being a Graduate you become eligible to join Indian Army through various entrance exams. In order to join Indian Army you have to appear in Combined Defense Services Exam (CDSE). CDSE is generally conducted two times in a year named as CDS-I and CDS-II. The notifications for this exam is generally published in the month of June and October. Through CDSE exam you become eligible to join Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Airforce.

Eligibility Criteria:-

For Junior Commission Officer post-

1)- In order to apply this post your age should be in between 21 to 27 years.
2)- You should have completed your Graduation from a recognized university.
3)- You should be an Indian citizen.

For Indian Military Academy-

This is the best option for those who want to make their career in indian military like Indian Navy, Airforce, Indian Army. The eligibility criteria for these posts are:

1)- You should have completed you graduation in any stream from a recognized university if you are applying for Indian Army post.

2)- Those who want to apply for Indian Navy and Indian Airforce should have completed their Graduation in Science stream.

3)- Your age should be in between 19 to 24 years.

4)- You should be an Indian Citizen.

For Officers Training Academy-

1)- You should have completed your Graduation in Science stream from a recognized university.

2)- You should have minimum 60% marks in Graduation.

3)- Your age should be in between 19 to 25 years.

4)- You must be Indian.

Selection Process:-

1)- Written Exam,
2)- Personal Interview,
3)- Medical/Physical Fitness.

Written Exam Pattern:-

As you are in final B.Tech. in Electronics & Communication Engineering, you are eligible to to join Indian Army through CDS.

CDS - Combined Defence Service, the entrance exam for which is conducted by UPSC two times every year as CDS-I and CDS-II for entry in to India Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy of CDS.

The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian male having either appear for the final Graduation Degree or B.Tech. Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 24 years with good Physical and Mental health.

CDS can be applied through on line by paying requisite fee for the exam.

The selection is through written exam followed by personal interview along with physical fitness and Medical test.

As you mentioned that you are in final year of B.Tech you will be eligible to apply for CDS exam conducted by UPSC.

In this there are few options to select.

You can go for UES or TES.

UES stands for University Entry Scheme

TES stands for Technical Entry Scheme

You will be offered a good salary if you qualify the exam.

There is lot of competition for the exam and you need to give the best performance in order to get into the Indian Army.

There are different mode of entry officers for graduates.

One Indian Military Academy (IMA). Vacancies are 250 per year. Notification will be notified in Employment news under CDSE in March/April and Spet/Oct. Eligibility criteria is any gradautes from recognized university. Only unmarried and those having ages between 19 to 24 years are only eligible. SSB date will be likely in September/Oct and March/April. Duration of Training will be 1-1/2 years in IMA Dehradun.

2nd mode of entry is TGC (Engineers). Vacancies per course every time it's variable and it is also twice a year. Notification will be notified in Employment news during April and October. Eligibility criteria for this entry is B.E or B.Tech in Notified streams of Engineers. IT engineers are not eligible now. Age must be in between 20 to 27 years. Training academy will be IMA. And duration of training will be 1 year.

3rd entry is Short Service Commision Techical Men. Which is having 50 vacancy and it is notified twice a year. You can search for it's notification during April and October month in Employment news. Age should be in between 20 to 27 years of age and only Engineering degree holders are eligible for it. Training academy will be OTA Chennai for 49 weeks.

4th most entry is NCC Special Entry scheme if you are having NCC 'C' Certificate holder then you are eligible for it. Training will be done in OTA only and maximum age till you can apply for this entry is 25 years.

In order to get jobs in Indian Army after B.TECH ,you will have to appear in CDS Exam.

The Eligibility you will required in order to Appear in this Exam is as follows:-

>>You must be a Citizen of India.
>>Your minimum age should be 21 years.
>>Your must be passed out in your Engineering.
>>Your minimum marks in Engineering should be 60%.

Syllabus for This Exam.

The questions in this exam will be asked from the 3 Sections.
These are:-

>>English Grammar & Comprehension.
>>General Knowledge.
>>Elementary Mathematics.

Total Duration of Each Exam will be 2 hours.
Total Marks of Each Paper will be 100.

The Indian Army take test to recruit the students from B.TECH so can give that test and the one clearing those tests are future selected and interviewed and after that the final selection is made.
