The LLB course is conducted under the regulation of Bar Council of India and as per the council, candidates pursuing courses in law will not be eligible for membership of Bar Council of India and they won't be able to practice in the court of law.
So, basically, LLB is not offered by any university-colleges through distance mode but yes, there are various courses in law which can be pursued through distance mode but are not treated equivalent to LLB.

You must check out the courses in law offered by these universities through distance mode:

• Guru Nank Dev University
• University of Jammu
• Annamalai University
• Kurukshetra University

If you wanted to do LLB why waited so long after graduation? You should have pursued LLB right after completing the graduation course. Now unfortunately it is too late and as you can not apply for LLB course.


According to the rules of Bar Council of India, a candidate should not be older than 30 years to apply for LLB course. BCI found it unfair for those who choose LLB as their preferred career choice.


As per the view of Bar Council of India, people like you are not serious about LLB course therefore you should not have any unfair advantage. By bringing the age limit, Bar Council of India has ruled out any possibility for you to pursue LLB.


Although there are some degrees offered through correspondence by various colleges but they are not recognized by the BCI. While you may hold a Law degree, it would be irrelevant since you won't be able to practice with it in any Indian court.


Therefore you should forget about doing LLB course. It is just not possible anymore.


Eligibility

1. A bachelor degree in any stream.

2. At least 45 percent marks in graduation.

3. SC/ST candidates need 40 percent marks in graduation.

4. The age limit for LLB is 30 years.

5. Age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST.
