iam doing an electronics engg diploma 3rd year student and i want to join nda or air force sir plz guide me. and iam not getting a proper guidess from anywhere so plz help me to choice

if you joined diploma after 10th std you can apply for NDA
if you have done diploma after 12th .. you are probably overage.
Age limit for NDA is 161/2 years to 19 years and the applicant
should have passed 12th or should just be in 12th appearing.

NDA exam is easy with basically 10th std mathematical questions and
GK and english... you can prepare with R.S.Aggarwala books
Arun sharma books.

Also solving timed mocks is a must .. this will build necessary speed and
accuracy,
Chronicle and CSR are good magazines would help.
Prepare well for interview... often people try speaking english, but if you speak hindi also
it wont trouble.But be confident while you speak.

National Defence Academy Examination - Eligibility

Age: 16½ to 19 years.

NDA (National Defenc Academy)

NDA: is conducted by UPSC (http://upsc.gov.in) twice every year probably in the months of april and september, notification for which are announced in employment news.Candidate you had passed class 12 (Any subject) can appear for Army wing of NDA, Candidate you had passed/appeared class 12 (PCM) with at least 60% aggregate can appear for NAvy & AIrforce wings.

Age limit- 16 years- 19 1/2 years.

So, you are not eligible for NDA.

But yeah you have another option, to join IAF not in officer post but below officer rank. Dont worry oppurtunities will be there for getting into officer rank.

Since,you are diploma engineering holder,you are only eligible to join IAF as an "Airmen" grade X (Technical) grade Y (Non-technical).

Eligibility criteria: Candidate should have completed a Three-Year diploma from a Government of India recognised Institute / Polytechnic, with minimum 50% marks in Mechanical or Electrical or Electronics or Telecommunications or Aeronautical or Ship Building or Instumentation Engineering or Metallurgy or in any other subject as advertised in employment news.

Age limit:Your age must not be greater then 22 years at the time of training for it.But since you DOB is 19/02/1986,your present age is 24 years,that why you are not eligible for it.

Hi,

Off course you can join NDA after your Diploma..
NDA exam is conducted twice every year by UPSC in the month of April and August....
You can write this exam when you are in final year or after passing out...
While filling the form, you can opt for Indian Air force, as you have interest in that field...
Forms will be available in post office for both NDA I and NDA II...

Hi

You are not eligible to apply for the NDA exam because only those candidates
are eligible to apply for NDA exam who have completed their 10+2 and
their should be between 16½ - 19 years.

So if you have completed your diploma after the 10th then you are not
eligible to apply for the NDA exam.


But you can apply for the other armed forces exams which are for non officer
ranks like group X and group Y in Indian Air force.

But you are not eligible for the officer rank exams now. If you are interested
to join defence as an officer then its better to complete your graduation then
you can apply through CDSE or UES entry schemes.

National Defense Academy Examination

Educational Qualification:

(i) For Army wing of National Defence Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

(ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 (Executive Branch) Course at the Naval Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination.

Age Limits: 16 ½ – 19 years
