Hi friend..
CAT stands for Common Admission Test. The test is conducted for admission in Indian Institute of Managements in MBA course. There are 13 IIMs in India and they are considered as top Management Institutes in India. CAT is conducted once in a year in the month of October-November. There are many instiutes in India but doing MBA from a good college matters a lot. Almost all the good institutes admit students on the basis of percentile obtained in entrance test. Some of the entrance tests in India for MBA course are CAT,MAT,ATMA,SNAT,etc. I am listing the top Institutes in India for MBA course below:- 1.IIM Ahmedabad. 2.IIM Bangalore. 3.IIM Lucknow. 4.IIM Calcutta. 5.FMS Delhi. 6.XLRI Jamshedpur. 7.IIM Kozhikode. 8.IIM Indore. 9.Indian Institute of Foreign Trade. 10.IIM Raipur. So,as you can see above that out of 10 top institutes,7 are IIMs. So,if you want to take admission in an IIM,you are required to give CAT exam. You have to fulfil certain eligibility criteria if you want to appear in CAT:- 1.You should have done your graduation from a recognised university. 2.You can do graduation from any discipline. 3.You should have obtained 50% in your graduation. 4.There is a 5% relaxation for SC/ST candidates in Graduation marks. 5.You can appear even if you are in final year of your graduation. 6.There is no age limit to appear in CAT. In CAT,the questions are from following sections:- 1.Verbal Ability. 2.Logical Reasoning. 3.Quantitative Aptitude. 4.Data Interpretation. 5.English Comprehension. The questions are not so tough but they are tricky sometimes and you must be very accurate and speedy if you want to crack CAT because time limit is very less. After qualifying CAT,you will be called for Personal Interview and Group Discussion. The selection will be based on the score in all the three rounds. Hope you found the information useful. Best of luck. Thanks. With Regards- Vikas. Quote:

For CAT Exam you need to be a graduate. You can obtain the degree in any discipline of your choice from a recognized university. The subject you choose does not matters here. But it is important to secure at least 50% of marks in aggregate to give this exam. For the reserved category candidates there is some relaxation available. SC/ST candidates needs to get 45% of marks. This exam can also be given by the students who are planning to appear for the final qualifying exam or is waiting for the results to come out. After completing graduation you can give this exam whenever you want to since there is no particular age limit to abide by. There is a three step selection procedure which needs to be crossed to finally get selected:-
Before the start of the exam you will get 15 mins to go through the paper which needs to be utilized carefully. So the total duration of the exam is wo hours and thirty five minutes including the tutorial time. You will be given a rough paper to do your calculations on it. You cant use any other paper. Hope this helps :-> :-> |
