i would like to know about the recruitment procedure of dentists in indian navy. m doing internship at present. do army dental corps recruit for navy also??

i would like to share my knowledge with you.

Indian Army:-

it is one of the supreme forces of our Nation. It has been safeguarding us from a very long time. It is highly commendable for its great work for the country and serving its people with shear responsibility and enthusiasm.

Job profile:-

The candidates will get the ranks of the Indian Army but their role and responsibilities will be that of a dental officer. They will be required to take care and treat the officers in the defence services.

Eligibility:-

A candidate must not exceed the age of 45 years.

Educational Qualifications:-

* A candidate must be a BDS with a minimum of 55% marks in the final year OR a candidate must be an MDS from a recognized university.
* A candidate must have completed one year internship , recognized by dental council of India.
* A candidate must also have a permanent dental registration certificate.

No. of posts:-

There are 25 vacancies in total.

Pay scale:-

A candidate will be given the rank of Captain with a basic pay of Rs17472 per month in the pay band Rs15600-39100 plus a grade pay Rs6100 and a military pay of Rs6000 will be given. Other allowances will be given as per the rules.

Selection procedure:-

The candidates have to undergo an interview in front of the selection board and a medical test after being placed in the merit list

How to apply:-

The candidates have to apply as per the format given in the advertisement. The candidates have to send BDS/MDS degree, class 10th certificate, dental registration certificate, internship certificate, 2 passport size photographs etc. The candidates are also required to send one self addressed post card and one self addressed envelope with a stamp of Rs6. All the applications must reach Director General Armed Forces Medical Services, Room no. 9, L-Block, Ministry of Defence, New Delhi – 110001

Is there any specific quota /procedure for female [ MDS] specialist dentists while in recruiting army dental corps .

And also pl inform scope for female [ MDS ] specialist dentists in indian navy and airforces.
