I'm studying in 12th std & I want to join iist after 12th. I want to become an astronaut what marks or percent do I require to get admission in iist 2016 to do my btech & which subjects in betech would be better for me?

To get admission in IIST for pursuing B.Tech course, you must have to qualify JEE Main examination and must have to secure specific percentage marks in JEE Advanced examination. Candidates who have completed 12th standard with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry subjects with minimum aggregate of 70% (60% for SC/ST) marks from a recognised board are eligible to get admission in B.Tech course in IIST.

IIST stands for Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology.

Admission in IIST is granted on the basis of JEE Advanced rank.

Eligibility criteria :-

-The candidate must be an Indian.

-The candidate should have passed 12th with at least 70% marks (60% for SC, ST, PwD) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects.

-The candidate belonging to open category must have born on or after October 1, 1991 and SC/ST/PwD candidate should have born on or after October 1, 1986 .
