English is a subject where a student can score good marks...one thing you have to do is study all the portion which has been taught to you previously...try to improve your grammer,writing skills like letters essays,etc...do not by heart ...divide your portions and study from the first day itself.....improve your communication skills....this will help you to score good marks in english...

You need to be well prepared in the two areas. The first is grammar and the other is comprehension. For the grammar part you must make sure you covered all the areas. You can prepare based on the Wren & Martin book. For the comprehension section you must solve the previous year papers. These will give you an idea on the type of questions asked.

You should 1st read all the chapters thoroughly then read the grammer from the test book it is mostly from there. Giving at least 2 hours for English is enough to attain 80% in the subject. Learn the poems & do the summary of the poems it will help you the most.

well english is the easy subject. you need to have good hand writting. improve ur grammer and concentrate on ur communication skill. letter writting and eassy wriiting can help to improve ur english score as well as ua talking ability.

Here is the trick to prepare for the SSC exam for a sure shot success in English:-
First of all start with the basic, Read books of cbse boards and try to grab the rules as well as new words.

One you done with this then buy a book named High school grammar by Wren and Martin and start with that book and learn each and topic very well.

After that go for Kiran Publication books or with the Arihant Publication book and prepare from there

Learn atleast 10 new words with meanings and spellings every day.

Read more and more Idiom and Phrases.

At last buy some solved and unsolved paper and try to solve them against the time to judge yourself where you stand and in which sector you need more improvement.
