how to prepare IAS exams. what important to fight read daily...please tell me

One needs to qualify CSAT and mains exam to join IAS. Exam preparation can be initiated by collecting detailed syllabus from the portal of UPSC. You need to prepare on topics like Indian Polity, Indian Constitution, General awareness, and reasoning. Reading news dailies will be helpful to clear the section. Also refer competition guides, text books and previous year question papers during study. For mains exam, concentrate well on the optional subject selected.

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service. This exam conducted by the Union Public Service Commission every year.

Eligibility:

You should complete the Graduation from any recognized University.

No min percentage required for this exam.

Final year candidates are eligible for this exam.

Your age limit for the between 21 to 30 years.

Upper age relaxation available for this exam.

3 years relaxation for OBC

5 years relaxation for Sc\St.

10 years for PH.

Both male & female candidates are eligible.

No of attempts:

4 times for general

7 times for OBC

No limit for SC\ST.

Selection Process:

Preliminary Exam
Main Exam
Interview

As you are in Class 8 now, so firstly you should pass your High School Board Exams.

Then, you will have to pass your Intermediate Board Exams with good marks.

After that, you will have to do Graduation from any stream in any Recognized University.

Then, you will be eligible for IAS Exams when you will reach in Final Year of your Graduation.

After completing Graduation, you can also appear for IAS Exams.

Exam Pattern for IAS:-

There will be three Level of Exam .These are:-

>>Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) - Preliminary Test.
>>Civil Services(Mains) Examination - Those who get passed in Preliminary Exam.
>>Interview - Those who gets passed in Mains Exam.

Syllabus for CSAT:-

>>It will consists two papers.
>>Each paper will be of 200 Marks.
>>Total Duration for Each paper will be Hours.

PAPER I: - It will contain questions from :-

>>Current events of national and international importance.
>>History of India and Indian national movement.
>>India and World Geography.
>>Indian Politics and Governments.
>>Economics and Social Development.
>>Ecology.
>>General Science.

PAPER II: - It will contain questions from :-

>>Comprehension.
>>Interpersonal and Communicational Skills.
>>Logical Reasoning and Analytical Ability.
>>Elementary Mathematics.
>>English Language.

Syllabus for Mains:-

>> It will contain questions from :-

>>Paper on Indian Language - Total Number of Marks 300.
These Languages are:-
Assamese,Bengali,Gujrati,Hindi,Kannada,Kashmiri,Ko nkani,Marathi,Punjabi,
Malayam,Manipuri,Oriya,Nepali,Sanskrit,Tamil,Telug u,Urdu.
(You will have to select any One Language)

>>English - Total Number of Marks 300.
>>Essay - Total Number of Marks 300.
>>General Studies (Two Paper) - Each of 300 Marks.
>>Optional subject (Selected by you as from the listed subjects) - Each of 300 Marks.

Optional subject will include questions from the subjects which you will select for Giving Examination.

The important thing which you should study Daily is the Newspaper.
You should Read "THE HINDU" English Paper.

Apart from these you should solve questions from Pratiyogita Darpan(Competitive Article Issued Each Month).

IAS exam is conducted by UPSC; it is conducted once in a year.

There is lots of competition to the examination and in order to qualify the examination you need to prepare too hard.

The maximum time needs to be spending on the examination.

The current affairs topics can be prepared from the magazines like Competition Success Review and other current affairs magazines.

There are various NCERT books available in order to prepare for the examination.

These books help you a lot in the preparation for IAS exam.
