Quote:
yes you are eligible for IAS entrance exam or officially called as civil service examination after completing your degree in medicine. The Civil service examination minimum eligibility criteria is -> A degree certificate and 21 years of minimum age. any degree completed students are eligible for this exam. preparing from this stage is not that easy to concentrate on subjects like Indian Politics,Geography. you have to set your mind separately in order to prepare for it. you should sacrifice all the worldly pleasures and sit for preparation then only the preparation will be fruitful if not in that way as you have plenty of time to prepare for the examination you can also do in this way i.e., passive preparation for civil service examination. What I mean to say is you can prepare side by side preparation like important things that a civil servant needs to know like General Knowledge,Current Affairs. you can get this info from various sources like Good Books magazines. Internet Newspapers. news channels etc., so I suggest you to prepare passively as Active preparation is not possible at this age. Hope you will understand and follow which will work out more effectively. all the best Regards ~AdityA~ |

Otherwise you can get this info from various sources like: Good Books magazines. Internet Newspapers. news channels.. But to prepare passively as Active preparation is not possible at this age. Hope you will understand and follow which will work out more effectively. Thanks!! |

Re: How to prepare for IAS exam while studying medicine?
Wel its good to hear that the medical students are also interested in IAS
U are eligible for IAS to write if u complete ur medicine course and the degree certificate in ur hand. There are many subjects in IAS but to u that is in medicine field u must choose either 1}IAS in medical science. 2}IAS in zoology 3}IAS in Botany 4}IAS in Psychology so u have a lot of chance in doing IAS by choosing the any one of them as ur optional subject and u can write the IAS exam. Well coming to the preparation matter u must study ur subjects point to point because the the questions which are in objective type twist u a lot so u must read every point carefully As soon as u get the degree certificate apply for IAS entrance exam . Before that u need to prepare a lot and collect the information. The IAS entrance exam wil be held once in a year it consists of two stages 1}preliminary stage which wil be held in the month of june or july every year 2}second one s ur main paper which consists of 300 marks that s ur main paper. U must write these two levels to pass the exam conducted by the UPSV govt. Of india. K hve good luck in ur life thank you |

Re: How to prepare for IAS exam while studying medicine?
Dear friend,
IAS exam is one of the toughest exam in India, I am sorry to say but it is very hard for you being a student of medicine ,to prepare for IAS , rather I will like to suggest you to practice for it with all your concentration after your medicine course is over. Best of luck. |
