sir i am pursuing engineering from computer science.and i want to prepare for ips exam.can u pls tell me the subject that i shuld select for the preparation.except maths

2. Read News paper daily any write the important point for your memory
3. THE HINDU is the best paper for your preparation
4. Discuss the problem related to the syllabubs in your friend circle
5. Solve the test paper of previous year

How To Prepare For IPS while doing engineering

The exam conducted for the recruitment of Indian Police Service(IPS) is known as the Civil Service Exam which is conducted every year by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission)

For appearing for the Civil Service Exam..candidate must have the following qualifications :-

>> Candidate must be within the age limit of 21-30 years, 21-33 years for OBC and 21-35 years for SC/ST

>> Candidate must have completed graduation from a recognized University..in any stream..

There will be 2 rounds in written exam round :-

>> Prelims or CSAT 2 objective papers on aptitude and GK..

>> Mains 9 subjective papers based on graduation subjects and English..

The acronym for IPS is Indian Police Services.

You can join IPS through civil service examination, which is conducted by UPSC every year.

The eligibility criteria required for civil service examination are prescribed as below:-

* Completion of graduation in any stream from any recognised college or university.

* Age limit- 21-30 yrs for General, 21-33 yrs for OBC and 21-35 for SC/ST contendors.

In order to get pass in the IPS Preliminary Exam,you should prepare as per its Syllabus.

Details regarding its Exam Syllabus is as follows:-

>>Preliminary Exam will contains questions from 2 sections.
>>Total Marks for each paper will be 200.
>>Total Time duration will be 2 hours.

Sections of Paper I will be from :-

>>History of India and Indian National Movement.
>>Geography from India and World.
>>National and International current events.
>>Economics and Social development.
>>Indian Politics and about its Governments.
>>Environmental Science.
>>General Science.

Sections of Paper II will be from :-

>>Logical and Analytical Reasoning.
>>Decision making Aptitude.
>>Interpersonal and Communication skills.
>>English Comprehension.
>>Elementary Mathematics.
>>Mental Ability.

There will be questions from Mathematics,so you will have to study it.Questions from mathematics will include general questions.Its questions will be based on the concept of lower level classes that is from class I to X .
