You need to be systematic while preparing for this exam. You need to ensure that you cover all the areas. You will need to prepare for both the objective type questions and also essay type. There will be a common paper in the area of teaching. The other two parts will be subject oriented. Do solve as many previous years papers.

where can i download maths previous set questions

Firstly you should complete post graduate with 55% marks in any stream. If you want to do in commerce then you can.
there is no upper age limit for lecturership but for jrf upper age should be 28.

this exam held twice a year in month of june and december.

for prepration first check syllabus of commerce and then try to get knowledge in depth over every topic.

State eligiblity test (SET) and National eligiblity test (NET) for lecturership.

Both exam is conducted by UGC.

Presently, SET is being conducted in the following states-

1. Maharashtra & Goa
2. Tamil Nadu (under consideration as on 14-07-2005)
3. Madhya Pradesh
4. Andhra Pradesh
5. Himachal Pradesh
6. Jammu & Kashmir
7. Rajasthan
8. West Bengal
