i am doing my eee ...i want to join indian army.... what are the exams to be undergone and what are all the selection criteria

As you mentioned you have completed graduation in engineering from EEE branch, you can join Indian army by attempting the UPSC CDS exam.

The exam is conducted for graduates and if you satisfy all the eligibility criteria then you can apply and later if you score the best marks in the exam, you can join the Indian army.

Yes, Off Course you can apply for Indian Army for that you have to apply for CDS examination Conducted by UPSC......

Educational Qualification:

A candidate have to complete at least their Graduation Degree in any Stream.......

Age Limit:

1. For IMA : 19-24 Years
   
2. For AFA : 19-23 Years
   
3. For NA : 19-22 Years
   
4. For OTA :19-25 Years

Physical Requirement:



Height of candidate 157 Cm at least......

Notification Dates: 10/11/2012

Last Date to Receipt Application form: 10/12/2012

Date of Exam: 17/02/2013


Applicants need to apply only online by submitting the Online application form at http://upsconline.nic.inThe last date for Online Registration is 10-12-2012.....

yes, you are eligible for INDIA ARMY exam.............

you have most completed your Graduation Degree with at least 50% from Recognized Universities.......

Citizenship of INDIA....

Age limit:

1. For Air Force Academy : 19-23 Years
2. For Naval Academy : 19-22 Years
3. For Indian Military Academy : 19-24 Years
4. For Officers’ Training Academy :19-25 Years.

How To Join Indian Army

After the completion of your graduation..you can join the Indian Army through Combined Defense Services (CDS) which is conducted by UPSC every year in the months of February and September..

Candidate must have the following qualifications to appear for the exam :-

>> Candidate must have completed graduation or must be a final year student from a recognized institute..

>> Candidate must be within the age limit of 19-24 years in order to join the Indian Military Academy

If you are in the final year of your engineering then you can appear for the exam..

The Written Exam shall test you on the basis of 3 papers each carrying 100 marks :-

>> General Awareness

>> Elementary MAths

>> English

After you clear the written exam..you will be called for the interview round and then the medical examination..

You can join Indian Army by the following ways.

You can join through CDS, AFCAT and direct SSB interview.

You are eligible for the above exams in your 7th sem or in your 4th year of b.tech. Following are some detailed information about these exams.

CDS Exam : following are the eligible critertia for CDS exam.

You should have a degree from recognized university.

You should be physically and mentally fit.

You must be an Indian citizenship,

Your age limit should be between 19 to 25 years.
You should have minimum 60% in your B.tech degree.


For AFCAT : Yu should have a degree from any recognized university.

Your age should be 19 to 25 years.
You should be physically fit and mentally fit.
You should have minimum 60% marks in B.tech degree.

Direct SSB interview : There are following eligibility for direct SSb interview.

Your age limit should be between 19 to 25 years for direct SSB.
You should have a degree from recognized university with 60%.
You shouil be physically and mentally fit.

You must have Indian citizen ship.

So, these are the exams which you can go to Army after your b.tech.
