There are many ways to join Army...

1.UES(University entry scheme):

Eligibility:
->19 to 25 years for Final year students.
->18 to 24 years for Pre final years students.

This is for engineering students .

2.SSC Technical:

->20-27 years
->Engineering degree in notified Discipline.

3.TGC(Engineers):
->20-27 years.
->B.tech/B.E in notified streams of engineering.

4.IMA:
->Age limit is 19-24 years.
->Graduation from recognised university.

5.SSC Non-technical:
->Age limit is 19-25 year
->Graduation from recognised university.

->Subjects for joining army are:

->11th ,12th ,and degree mathematics.
->General knowledge
->English Grammar

The Indian Army can be joined generally through NDA and CDS conducted by UPSC twice every year.

NDA - National Defence Academy entrance exam conducted to join Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA.

The eligible candidate must be an Unmarried Indian male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with good physical health.

CDS - Combined Defence Service entrance exam conducted to join Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy of CDS.

The eligible candidate must be unmarried Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 25 years with good Physical and mental health.

You can also join Indian Army through TES(Technical Entry Scheme) and UES(University Emntry Scheme).

To join the Indian Army you need to apply for the NDA & CDS exams.

NDA stands for National Defence Academy. CDS stands for Combined Defence Service.These two exams conducted by UPSC twice in a year.

NDA eligibility:

You should complete the 12th standard from recognized state board of India.

Your age limit is between 16.5 to 19 years.

Only unmarried male candidates are eligible for this exam.

Candidate should be origin of India.

CDS eligibility:

You should complete the Graduation from recignized university.

Your age limit is 19 to 24 years.

Only unmarried male candidates are eligible.

female candidates are not eligible.

Candidate should be Indian Citizen.

CDS - Combined Defence Service, the exam for which is conducted by UPSC twice evry year to join Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer,s Training Academy of CDS.

The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian male having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 24 years with good health.

Prior to your graduation you can join the Indian Army by clearing NDA after class XIIth. Post your graduation you can join with CDSE exam clearance for full commissioning post IMA training. For short term you can join OTA post clearing SSC exam.There are scopes for even the techno backgroungd chaps also to join. Even in the line of medicine you can opt for AFMC. Go to the sites of india Defence, or give your choice in any of the hunt modus, you will get the scopes in hand.

If your interested to Join in Indian Army Academy than you have to appear in Any one of the following Entrance
Examination ..

-National Defence Academy
-Technical Entry Scheme Examination

If your Completed 12th standard candidate then you may apply for following Examinations,

Eligibility Criteria Needed for ( NDA Army ) Examination :-

The Applicant should be complete 12th board Examination / Equivalent Examination from recognized Univeristy. The Applicant should be Physically as well as mentally fit . The Applicant should be Citizen of India . The Applicant age should be Not less then 16.5 years and not more then 19 years of age . The Applicant should be Unmarried ( Single Bachelor ) candidates .

Note :- There is No Upper age relaxation will applicable for sc/st candidates .

Eligibility Criteria required for TES Examination :-

The Applicant should Complete 12th standard / Equivalent with Phyiscs / Mathematics as a main subject in 12th board Examination . The Applicant age should be 16.5 years to 19 .5 years . The Applicant be Citizen of India and Unmarried male candidate . The Applicant should be Physically as well as mentally for this Examination .

If your Completed Bachelor degree Course than you may apply for ,

CDS ie:- ( Combined Defence Service Examination ) . This Examination is Conducted by Union Public Service Examination .

To apply for this Examination then have Qualified in Under graduation Course from recognized University . Final year candidate may also eligible to apply for this Examination .

You should be Single Male candidate and You should be Citizen of India .

Your age should be Minimum 19 years and Maximum 24 years .

So, According to your qualification you may apply for any one of the Entrance Examination , then definitely you may become a Indian Army Officer ..
