sir i want know about the upsc cds exams . the total information about cds , in that carrer in airforce. am from b.tech mechanical.

CDS - Combined Defence Service, the entrance exam for which is conducted by UPSC twice every year as CDS-I and CDS-II for an entry in to Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy.
The eligible candidate aspiring for CDS must be an Indian unmarried National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education or B.Tech. engineering with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects of studies from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 25 years with good Physical and Mental Fitness. As you a Mechanical Engineer, you can apply for all the wing of CDS. The different wings have different age criteria:- Indian Military Academy(IMA) - 19 to 24 years Indian Naval Academy(INA) - 19 to 22 years Indian Air Force Academy - 19 to 23 years Indian Officer's Training Academy(OTA) - 19 to 25 years Those who have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics can apply for all the wings of CDS and the candidate without having the above subjects can only be eligible to apply for IMA and OTA of CDS. CDS(combined defence services exam) exam is conducted by UPSC two times every year.
through this exam you can join the Army , Navy and the Air-force. to be eligible to appear for this exam you need to satisfy the criterions below- 1.you should be an India 2.you should have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university. 3.you need to between 19-23 years of age. the pattern of the exam is- for more details visit - upsc.gov.in good luck |

Combined Defence Services Examination or CDS is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for selection in Indian Army, Indian Air Force and Indian Navy. Only candidates who have completed graduation can appear for the CDS exam. CDS exam has four wings:- ***Indian naval academy, ***Indian airforce academy, ***Indian military academy, ***Officer training academy. Eligibility criteria:- The candidate must have to complete graduation in any discipline from a recognised university. Final year exams appearing candidates may also eligible and there is no percentage restrictions for this exam. Male and female both are eligible for this exam. You must be a citizen of india. You should be physically fit. Age criteria:- ***For naval academy--> 19 to 22years, ***For airforce academy--> 19 to 23 years, ***for military academy-->19 to 24 years, ***For medicser training academy--> 19 to 25 years. ***No age relaxation. Selection process:- Written test, Personal interview. You are surely eligible for Air Force through CDS examination .
For CDS examination one must have following qualifications: -Graduate in Any Discipline from a recognized university If you want to join Indian Army. -Graduation in Engineering or maths or physics from a recognized university if you want to join Naval Academy or Air force Academy. The age criteria for CDS exam is as follows: - For Air Force Academy - 19 to 23 years - For Naval Academy - 19 to 22 years - For Indian Military Academy - 19 to 24 years - For Officers Training Academy - 19 to 25 years Hence if you satisfy above criteria then you can apply for CDS examination. Yeah graduation completed candidates can be eligible for CDS(Combined Defence Service) exam which is conducted by the UPSC two times in a year. Eligibility criteria:- The candidate should be complete graduation from a recognised university. Percentage is not required to appear this exam. The candidate must be a citizen of india and must be physically fit. Male and Female both are eligible for this exam. Age criteria:- For Naval academy--> 19 to 22 years, For Airforce academy--> 19 to 23years, For Military academy--> 19 to 24 years, For Officers Training academy--> 19 to 25years. For IMA, AFA and NA questions will come from the following sections: 1. English 2. General Knowledge 3. Elementary Mathematics. Total marks allotted for the exam is 300 marks so each section carries 100 marks. The total time allotted for the exam is two hours. For OTA questions will come from the following sections: 1. English 2. General Knowledge The written exam will consist of objective type questions mostly and for students' convenience the GK and Mathematics paper will be set in both hindi and english.
