IBM-ISL stands for IBM India Software Labs, which is one of the largest product development and innovation centers of IBM worldwide1.

The recruitment process for IBM-ISL Internship consists of the following rounds1:
  • Round 1: Cognitive Ability Assessment. This is an online test that consists of five games that measure your cognitive abilities such as memory, problem-solving, numerical reasoning and verbal reasoning. You have to complete this test within 30 minutes.
  • Round 2: Technical Interview. This is a video interview where you have to answer questions related to your domain knowledge, skills and projects. You may also be asked to write code or explain algorithms on a shared screen. The duration of this round is about 45 minutes to an hour.
  • Round 3: HR Interview. This is a video interview where you have to answer questions related to your personality, strengths, weaknesses, goals and motivation. You may also be asked about your expectations from the internship and IBM. The duration of this round is about 15 to 20 minutes.

The first round questions are based on cognitive abilities and not on technical knowledge. However, some web sources suggest that there may be a coding test before or after the first round for some candidates.
