Hello Aswin !!

Don't think in that way that thinking about salary in a government job. that too a prestigious job like IES Indian Engineering services.

Don't only just think about your salary in IES services even you may get a low starting salary of 15000 or so Don't worry it will be increased to 75 k or like but the name and fame for your whole family is worth of some Lakhs of rupees which you can't bring at that age.

But after providing all the facilities from Government I think the salary what they are offering is sufficient for the worldly pleasures I guess.

anyway it is your own personal decision about this matter. what I want to say is Money doesn't matter for that job it means there is a lot things you get with that job like
Prestige in the society
Recognization in public.
good progress in career.
security for life
Has good planning before and after your death.

In all the ways you will be secured by the Govt of India in the post of Central govt job. So Don't think about anything else just go upon what your mind says.

junior Officers Rs. 8000-275-13500
Senior Officers Rs. 10650-325-15200
Junior Administrative Grade Rs. 12,750-375-16,500
Selection Grade Rs. 15,100-400-18,300
Additional Secretary Rs. 22400-525-24500
Secretary/Cabinet Secretary Rs. 26,000/30,000
freshers may get....
18k-22k plus incentives
which goes around 45-50k this is near about official income.

Government job in itself is a prestige.Dear you may get less salary initially but it offers you a lot more than that. It gives you a chance to be close to the near and dear ones, an opportunity to help the society.It gives you a life time secured settlement not only for you but including your family.A lot more facility and convenience,recognition in society as compared to private sector jobs that take every bit out of you.

But at the end all depends on you what you want choose wisely.

The Initial Salary will be of 10-13 K per month with all the govt facilities provided.

Just those money will be for your external needs other than the primary needs.

After getting some experience you will get 20K after a few years 35k

In that way the salary will increase upto 1 Lac.
