it is very difficult because these psu companies select freshers on basis of their selection test ,gd and pi.They follow their own pattern and jst checks ur grade point for four years ,so that you are eligible for their exams.

u can go in iocl through GATE but score/rank should be very high

As you wants to apply for job in PSU's like ONGC,NTPC,BHEL,IOCL , then you have to appear in a written test exam first, which is conducted by the PSU's individually..

But to apply for a job in IOCL you must have to appear in GATE exam, and you have to perform well in GATE, because IOCL does not conduct any written test exam , they hire students on the basis of GATE score..

The other PSU's hire students on the basis of the score in the written test which is conducted by them self..
If you have a good gate score then you can apply for IOCL..
but for the other PSU's you have to go through the written test...

yes it is now become a fashion for psu's also as common entrance test in the similar fashion as bank exam.. :"(/... so guys just concentrate on GATE 2012

IT IS NOT GOOD DISSION FOR ALL PSU
JOB SELECT IN GATE SCORE.
PLEASE REMOVE GATE SCORE SYLLABUS. GO TO HELL GATE SCORE.

the scorecard says that the score is valid upto march 2013 so can i apply for jobs in iocl etc on its basis this year when i ll b passing out i.e in 2012.??

yes ,, u are elible to gain in gate score of 99% or above

if there is any aggrregate % criteria to apply in PSU if we apply through GATE???

first get a gud rank in GATE
& ofcourse with a 1st class in ur Bachelors
