Yes Maths compulsory to do MCA after BCA..
you can do BCA without having math in +2 level but try to take maths subject in BCA course as it will be compulsory ... For MCA there are two criteria either Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects in Bachelors degree of minimum three years duration then only you are eligible for MCA!! and now onwards there will be change in criteria i.e students need not have Certificate in Computing (CIC) to get admission into BCA and MCA courses offered by IGNOU. |

Hello,
Yeah, according to MCA admission norms a candidate must have maths as a compulsory subject in high school examination. If you had not opted maths as a subject in high school exam, don't worry appear high school exam maths paper, from the same board you had qualified your senior secondary exam. Get qualified in that and attach the maths qualified marksheet with high school exam marksheet, show the documents at the time of councelling for MCA. "If there is will there is a way" ok, best of luck. |

After BCA when you will try to take admission in the Indian top University for MCA then math is very necessary subject in your 12th class. Without math in your 12th class you are not eligible to do MCA with these universities.
It is right that without math in 12th class you can do BCA but MCA is not possible with Indian top University. There are also some university which is providing admission on the basis of BCA but in your BCA class you have studied math subject as a main subject only then you will be eligible to take admission in these universities. You can give the 12th math exam with the NIOS and then can take admission in Indian top University. |

You can do MCA from the university from where you did BCA without having mathematics at 10+2.
Student who get admission in BCA must having a subject MTE or any other mathematics subject which is only required to study by student who were not having mathematics. Similarly this additional subject will be continue for MCA. Like this many other institutes must have this type of eligibility criteria. Above mentioned criteria is of IGNOU and the university offer BCA(3 Yeard) + MCA (2 Years) integrated course for which students without mathematics are also eligible. |
