Hi,I am handicap student & i recently completed my graduation in commerce & now i want to become an income tax officer but dont know how? Please give me the detail info for becoming an income tax officer, .its my humble request that pls reply on my query

Yes, you are eligible for Income Tax Officer exam but you should fulfill below given criteria first.

To become a income tax officer exam, you should qualify in SSC CGL exam.

Those candidates who have completed graduation degree from a recognized university are eligible for Income Tax Officer exam.

Your age should be in between 21 to 27 years.

Age relaxation-

Upper age relaxation for OBC is upto 3 years.
For SC/ ST , it is upto 5 years.
For PWD it is upto 10 years.

Physical criteria:-

1. Inspector of Central Excise/Preventive Officer (Male candidates)
Height - 157.5 cms
Chest - 81 cms
Physical Test - Walking - 1600 meters in 15 minutes
Cycling - 8 Km in 30 minutes

2. Inspector of Central Excise/Preventive Officer (Lady Candidates)
Height - 152 cms
Weight - 48 Kg
Physical Test -Walking - 1 km in 20 minutes
Cycling - 3 km in 20 minutes

Hi i am laxman I have completed my 12th studies. I would like to become an income tax officer, what I want to study in college and help me to choose correct course

I have no handicapped certificate but physically i am also like handicapped , yet i want to make an income tax officer < can i eligible for that?

I don't Know Cycling, can I become an Income Tax Officer?
