To become an Income tax officer the candidates have to appear and qualify in Civil Service examination conducted by UPSC every year.
The eligibility to appear for examination is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognised university and age limit is 21-32 years with relaxation in age for reserved category. So, candidates with above qualification can appear for examination and after qualifying in all three stages of examination eligible for final selection.
