Structure of the courses offered in NIT, Trichy:-

The under graduate courses offered in this institute will be of 4 years duration except B.Arch course which is of 5 years duration. The post graduation programs will be of 2 years duration except MCA which will be of 3 years duration.

Admission Procedure for various courses in NIT, Trichy:-

The admission process varies with the selected course of study. The admission details can be accessed via the institute’s official website. However minimum marks in the qualifying exams are the basic criterion for selection in almost all the courses. For some courses they will admit students based on the score in the common entrance tests. For M.Tech courses GATE score is considered while for MBA admission CAT score is the criterion.

dear fried 85 marks is to less to get admission in Govt. NIT. however you can get admission in state govt. colleges if there is any aieee quota and if there is less competation only.

First of all i would like to tell you that marks don't decide your admission, it is your rank which actually decides your admission. So keeping that in mind let me tell you the opening and closing rank for Btech course in NIT Trichy as of in 2011.
