Re: What is the Minimum Percentage Required in 10th for IIT JEE?
No boundation in JEE exam exists for the admission, as per 10th percentage is concerned.
They require a minimum percentage criterian in 12th concerned not in 10th class. Also u should not have drop of more than one year. And JEE should be your consecutive 1st or 2nd (in drop) time exam. |

There are no limit of marks in the 10th class for appearing in the IIT JEE. The minimum eligibility criteria for IIT JEE is 12th pass with 60% marks in average in PCM. A candidate can attempt only two times in IIT JEE . First in the appearing in 12th and other after 12th pass. If you want to get more information then please see the official website of IIT. Re: What is the Minimum Percentage Required in 10th for IIT JEE?
Dear pal,
IIT conducts the joint entrance exam for admitting the eligible aspirants. The exam is conducted only once in a year . The academic requirement includes 1. 10+2 qualification with mathematics, physics and chemistry as subjects 2. The candidate should have secured a aggregate of 60% for a general category and obc 3. For a sc and st aspirants the eligible marks is 50% 4. The aspirant can make a maximum of two attempts. One after completing his +2 and the next year for appearing for the exam the committee do not require your 10th standard marks. The only requirement is pass in the 10th standard conducted either by state or the central board. Do not worry even if you have got low marks. Choose maths, physics and chemistry and prepare well. All the best |

Yes, The eligibility in IIT JEE has no connection whatsoever with your 10th standard marks.
The current criteria is to get atleast 60% aggregate in physics, chemistry and Maths in the 10+2 level. Good luck |

Re: What is the Minimum Percentage Required in 10th for IIT JEE?
Dear Friend ,
There is no relation of class 10th marks with eligibility for IIT - JEE because the eligibility criteria that are required for a student in order to set himself eligible for it do not include class 10th marks. The Basic Criteria Required In order to be eligible for IIT JEE are mentioned below : a) you must have passed your 12th with a minimum of 60% marks . b) You must have chosen Physics , chemistry and mathematics as your key subjects in 12th. c) Your age should lie in between 16-24 years. d) You are only allowed to appear in IIT-JEE twice in consecutive years. So , my dear friend , just focus on your 12th and try to secure more than 60% marks in 12th. This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want. |

Re: What is the Minimum Percentage Required in 10th for IIT JEE?
IIT-JEE exam depends on your 12th standard Percentage not 10th standard.
For the IIT Joint Entrance Examination: ~The minimum percentage required in class 12 is 60% in aggregate for General and OBC candidates and for 55% for SC/ST and PD. ~You are allowed only maximum of two attempts at the JEE. For the AIEEE: ~You must score atleast 50% marks in your 10+2 with Maths and Physics as compulsary subjects. ~Unlike IIT JEE AIEEE allows a maximum of 3 attempts. All the best.................... |
