The minimum qualification required to be a social worker -

1.You need an honours degree or post graduate qualification of social work .
2.Degree courses involve a combination of course work and a minimum of 200 days spent in practice settings.
3.Once qualified you will need to register with general social core council before you can practice.

Social worker related jobs -

1.Education well fear officer
2.Probation officer
3.Residential social worker
4.teacher of special educational need


Salary of a social worker -

Can start from Rs.17200 to Rs.28000 per month

Dear,

Its a great thought that you want to work for the society. To become a social worker there is no such qualification required but still some things that will help you to be what you want to be are following:

1. You need to go to university and do a degree before you can become a qualified social worker. The degree course is of 3 years such as:BSc, BA or BSW qualification.All social workers are registered with the GSCC, and in order to continue practising must renew their registration every three years.
   
2. There are some post graduation courses too like MA and MSc in this field.

Some of the courses for it are:

1. Diploma - Diploma of Social Work
2. Undergraduate Degree - Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)
3. Graduate Degrees - Master of Social Work (MSW)
4. Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
5. Doctor of Social Work (DSW)

After getting qualification you have to make a research and contact to all the social working society where you want to join.
