A candidate can apply for the IAS through civil service examination.
This examination is conducted by the UPSC every year. To apply for
this examination a candidate needs the following eligibility criteria.

Education Qualification
For the civil service examination a candidate should be graduate in
any discipline from the recognized university.
Those appeared in the final year examination are also eligible to apply
for this examination.

Age Limit
For civil services candidates age should be between 21 to 30 years.

if you are willing to qualify IAS EXAMS , you have to follow some basic needs to understand the strategy of IAS exam , please follow the following steps:
1) start studying CBSE BOARD BOOKS of SOCIAL STUDY,POLITICAL SCIENCE,CIVICS .
THIS WILL HELP YOU TO CLEAR YOUR BASICS.

2) READ QUALITY BOOKS having ISBN NUMBER

3) READ LUCENT G.K, GENERAL SCIENCE, OBJECTIVE TYPE SOLVED BOOK.

4) ALL THESE are not enough to Qualify IAS Exam so also read Ancient Indian History,
and Indian Constitution.
