Hi I was engineering student & I did 2 year in electronics & telecommunication engineering (Pune university). But I left my study after 2nd year with ATKT. I am interesting to do my graduation in Bsc (chemistry). Is that possible to get direct admission to second year for BSC in Pune university?

i don,t think it is possible. Maybe the college in which you were studying will allow you to take admission in bsc in their own campus but any other college will not permit you to take admission in 2nd year of bsc. You will have to take admission in 1st year only.

you have to apply tapar university on the basis of entrance exam with 70% marks in 12th class board.

i.....if u want get admission in 2 yr b.sc u should hav medical certificate...
u hav to follow the rules of the university..........

if u want to do b.sc then u have to start with 1st year.

As you did your B.Tech from Pune university & now you want to take admission in B.Sc(chemistry).

These are both different fields.

But it is possible only in same university, as you are belong to Pune university & want to take admission in same university then it is possible.
but i can't tell you the procedure from here , so it is better for you to consult with admission department of the university, & follow the rules.

as both of them are different syallabi degrees

Nopes. I dont think thats really possible. The simple reason is that there is no such lateral entry rule for BTech students to go into BSc. So you will need to start fresh from 1st year if you join BSc.

However you can confirm with the university in which you plan to take admission for BSc course

no, you can't take admission in 2nd year of Bsc.you have to take admission in very 1st year.

till now there is no such provisions to take admission in 2nd year directly after leaving b.tech.

Well, dear you have left your Engineering, that was one of your big mistake.

However, Yes there is Lateral Entry facility in B.sc but not in Reputed Universities like- Pune University.

You have to switch to any Open University for that.

Universities like- Karnataka Open University, IGNOU, Madhuraj Kamaraj etc.

you did a big mistake to left the B.Tech... There is not any procedure for getting admission in 2nd year in B.SC.
Right now you are just a 12th pass student that's it!!! ok so you have get admission in 1st year.

i am veru sorry to inform you that there is no scope for direct admission in bsc 2nd year if you left your b.tech in middle.you can apply for bsc but you have to start from the first year.

there is no procedure for getting direct admission in BSc second year if you left your Btech in middle.........you may join BSc 1st year but it is only bested of time.
BTech will provide more opportunity to get the job......so you will continue with Btech degree that will helps you in future............

b.tech have much more value and more job prospects after its completion
so if you want to take admission in b.sc second yeara then you can surely take up but it would be not possible to take up that in a good university

It is not possible switch to any other courses after B.Tech ,this type of provision are not made ,

But one thing is sure that you can take admission as a BSc lateral entry in some of the open universities ...such as IGNOU...

Lateral entry in BSc is not possible in most of the universities other then the open universities.

So try to gather knowledge about it from the open universities.

hi !! actually I am sorry to say that I enquired about various colleges in my state orissa...but I couldnt find any such institution which could give you direct addmission in the 2nd year...you have to start from the very beginning...I know there could be various reasons of leaving B.tech in the middle..becuse many of my friends left b.tech in the middle and stated with B.sc 1 st yer only...

I don't think so... there is no chance to get admission in Bsc 2nd year directly..
there is no relation between of these two field...

Btech is a technical field, and Bsc. is a general field..
I can't understand one thing, that why you want to leave Btech..

you first decide in which field you want to go..
if you want to go for Bsc. in chemistry then you have to start it from 1st year, that means you wasted two years of your career in doing Btech..

i always say to go for that field in which you want to go, there should not be any hesitation..

Actually my college 7th rank in Pune university but that was not good, bad teacher & education system I hate that environment. So I decided to stop learning from such college & study. I am doing my business right now & I am happy with that. But to do higher study in research I was looking for bsc chemistry. Now I decided to do study in BA & then MBA in UK/USA.

really it is very bad news that you are deviating your path.thats why you have left your engineering course.

but after that if you have chosen the b.sc then i request to you to not again get deviated.

and there is no any rule to enter in the directly in the 2nd years,

I think this will be impossible if you wanna change you degree course.
you can change the degree in your own university.
some colleges are there :
electronics & telecommunication engineering (Pune university).

some colleges take the 12th mark minimum 80%.

yes you will geet Direct admission in BSc second year if I left my Btech in middle but in another colleg

there is no such type of provision to get admission in Bsc. 2ndyear, you have to apply on the basis of the marks of the +2, A ccording to merit list you will get admission in the colleges of pune university.

hiiii, i am ritu, i have done 3 yr course in bio tech engineering, currently i am doing b tech in bio tech as i got lateral entry admission in this course, i was very much interested in becoming a air hostess, now i want to leave this course coz i am finding it very difficult and it is not cup of my coffee, i just want a degree, but i want to enter directly in 2nd year in bsc courses, i cant waste 1 more year, as i wasted 1 yr in b tech. i cant spend 3 more year for getting a degree, as age limit for airhostess is 24, and i am already 21 yr old, kindly advise me, i am in biggest dilemma of my life.
