Re: Options and opportunities if I have no interest in Higher Studies after B.Tech
Dear friend,
i can realise your problem. But at this stage don't loose your hope. After doing B.Tech, there are ample job opportunities these days in the market. You can sit for on-campusing of your college. There are also off-campus recruitment from various technical companies. Right now,you have to prepare yourself for placement tests. Just concentrate on that. Everything will go right. Best of luck for your future. |

Re: Options and opportunities if I have no interest in Higher Studies after B.Tech
Hi,
You said you are pursuing B Tech. B tech with what specialisation? Do reply in what subject you are specialized in!!!. Dont worry about the family background. I say( If what I understood by the word family background here is correct, then), if you have a bad background, Say thanks to god that He has provided the best teacher for you. He has taken all initiative to make you a perfect personality. A perfect man which many out there are not. Take each and every trouble you face as an adventure. Try to enjoy it, you will enjoy it as time goes. I SWEAR IT WILL BE THE HAPPIEST TIME IN YOUR LIFE TO REMEMBER IN FUTURE. Out of experience I say. About your core query, though dont knw your specialisation, some opinions. BTech itself is a great achievement. You have real good opportunities in whatever specialisation you are. there are even good opportunities in government jobs. So complete your graduation with good score. Sure, you have a bright future. All the Very Best. |

Re: Options and opportunities if I have no interest in Higher Studies after B.Tech
No problem, if you dont want to go for higher studies at present.
You have'nt mentioned your stream so that I can guide you accordingly. However, After completion of your B.Tech you can simplely go for job in your relevant field. If you Institute has plaement facility then its very good other wise you have to find job yourself, by applying to vacant posts in companies. Being an Engineer you wont have to struggle much for getting job even thogh you dont have campusing facility. after getting job and having 3 years of work experiance or when your fanancial background gets strong you can enroll for further studies at the time, through coresspondance or else. Dont worry just study well, because if you have to search for job yourself then having Best result in Semester will help you alot. Best of Luck |

If your family background is the only reason behind being uninterested in higher studies then I would first suggest you to join a job with your specification and with that you can prepare for other examinations like Civil services or Indian Engineering Services. Also, I would like to tell you that if you go for M.Tech then you can get good fellowships of at least 11-14,000 INR per month. For that, you will have to score well in GATE. There are also various other fellowship programs. Information regarding those can be obtained at http://www.scholarshipsinindia.com/ So, never take your family background as an obstruction in studies. You can earn and study together. Thank You |

Dear leaving the field is the act of cowards. You should bear in mind that when you give up from the field it may be the last hurdle you failed to overcome . Coming out of problems is the work of bold persons . If you are not interested then control on your mind and do the right

Hi!
If you are not interested for the further study then you can go for jobs. After B.Tech you will get jobs via on campusing or off campusing. But in fact you will get chance in good mnc's, so you just update yourself to know everything about the campus test and interview. You can prepare for the campus test and interview from aptitude test and verbal and non-verbal section solving skill. |

Re: Options and opportunities if I have no interest in Higher Studies after B.Tech
Hello Friend,
It is not a compulsion to go for higher studies after B.Tech, not all the B.E/B.Tech holders go for higher studies and instead they choose for jobs. If you are not interested and considering your family financial conditions, there is no need for higher studies. You can try for jobs in your related field of engineering. If placement facilities are available in your college then try to get selected in it. Or else you can try for off campus and walk-in interviews which are conducted by various companies. Once you get a job and gain some experience in your field there will no looking back for you.2-3 years of experience will help you to jump even higher in your career ultimately improving your family financial condition. And in the later stages you can even go for higher studies M.Tech/M.B.A through correspondence which will add colors in your career even more. Keep on checking the various job sites like www.freshersworld.com, www.freshers.in,monsters.com & naukri .com for various openings. |

Re: Options and opportunities if I have no interest in Higher Studies after B.Tech
hai..............
what i suggest is that what ever may be the position of u r family first try to complete u r m.tech and then u try for jobs and settle well.... Further Studies: If you prefer to continue to studies, you can do Post graduate courses and then obtain a Ph.D. You have lots of options during this P.G course like M.S/ M.Tech, IAS/IPS, Navy/NDA and Finance related courses like MBA. Job/ work: Software industry: What ever the branch you are in during your engineering you can get into a software industry with simply communication skills. It is good if you get a job during the campus placements itself because it is really difficult to find a job after you come out of the college. However there are various kinds of jobs in Software industry which you get accordingly as your course of study or your specialization. It is ok if you do job for sometime and start studying again for your P.G courses. Own Company: If you are financially sound, you can start your own company with a little experience in some other company. Still there are various choices in jobs like lecturer in some famous engineering college, call center jobs, etc. Conclusion: So decide your career now it self and prepare accordingly to reach your goal. |

Re: Options and opportunities if I have no interest in Higher Studies after B.Tech
If one feel that is been to heavy to study for four years and want to start making money, then start early hunt for job.
You can go for: -banking sector -you can also join indian army/navy/air force according to your merit and qualifications. - government organizations like drdl, isro, ecil and bel offer jobs to computer science students. -you may also opt for software design and development job within any tech company. -you may also use your education as your stepping stone and build up your career in teaching field. - thousands of multinational and national software companies offer jobs such as microsoft, google, yahoo, amazon, ibm, facebook, oracle, cisco, infosys, tcs, and wipro.you can apply in these companies also.. -you can join government organisations like drdo, hal, nic & so on. - and keep going through employment news , many advertisements can be found regarding need of b.tech students in govt organisations. -if you have some hobby can make it a profession and make earning from that, for example paining, writing, singing, music and photography and many other hobbies. But be careful about these options they involve more risk and more gains. The choice will depend on your interest, aptitude and career goals. If you choose a domain as per your interest and aptitude, then you will excel in performance and will do better in your career. All the best.,.. |

Re: Options and opportunities if I have no interest in Higher Studies after B.Tech
HI
Since money is a barrier for you then you can target colleges whose fees are very low. Some of the colleges are IITs, NIT for MTech and FMS, TISS, JBIMS for MBA however, you will have to put in enough effort as these are the best college for M.tech and MBA and thus the level of competition is high if you are not interested in higher studies, then only option left with you is job. Go for job. May be when you have earned good income you may come for higher studies. All the best |
