How much percentage is required to join B.Tech in Marine Engineering after completing Diploma course in same stream?

Marine engineering is a branch of Engineering which deals with the nautical architecture and science. It is a four-year Undergraduate degree course in the field of Engineering. Candidates who have passed 12th standard with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English subjects or three years Diploma in Engineering course from a Government recognised Board/ Institute are eligible to pursue Marine Engineering course.

Being a Diploma holder in Marine Engineering, to get lateral entry admission in B.Tech (Marine Engineering) course, you must have secured minimum aggregate of 55% marks in your three years Diploma course from an AICTE approved Institution.

Lateral Admissions in B.Tech (Marine Engineering) are offered through State level lateral entry examinations named as JELET, LEET, etc.,. By appearing and qualifying the entrance examination, you will be called for counselling according to your examination rank and you will be allotted a seat in the college which you are eligible to get admission for pursuing B.Tech (Marine Engineering) course.

Those candidates who have completed diploma degree in Marine Engineering from a recognized University are eligible for B.Tech in Marine Engineering. You need to qualify in Lateral Entry Exam.

Your age should be above 17 years.

You are eligible to pursue B.Tech in Marine engineering after completion of Diploma in mechanical engineering.

Percentage criteria:- Minimum 55% aggregate marks in diploma course.

You must have also obtained minimum 50% marks in 12th standard.

Qualification Criteria:- You must have passed diploma course in same stream or mechanical approved by AICTE.
