A recent law passed ,had made it mandatory for all candidates who want to persue p.hd. to appear for UGC-NET/SET or you can also persue it through any JRF programs.

So,you have appear for an entrance for it.

Only there are some exceptional cases where entrance is not required,like S.Chandrashekhar,a 17 + is now persuing p.hd. in computer science at chennai,he a excellent genious.

hey for doing phd you shall have to give the entrance exam for it...without it you wont get admission in it

to do phd you have to clear variuos entrance exams.the most vital one being NET.yes you can also do phd without entrance exam.for that you have to consult any high grade teacher to take under him/her for any kind of research work.that teacher can give you the phd degree.but what matters is if you do phd through entrance you will get stripend but under any teacher you wont get that.

to pursue Phd it is mandatory to qualify entrance exam, be it UGC-NET/SET or CSIR or entrance exams conducted by individual institutions.

Ph.D is a doctor of philosophy which is a research job.

There will be a written test for Ph.D. If you apply gate and qulified in that means you will get good college and stipend also

You have to apply Ph.D without written test but you have to attend interview which is conduct by them
