ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR II JEE EXAM

Am sorry, to apply for IIT - JEE exam you must have 60 % above in your 12th std.. but anyways you can if you meet the following eligibility criteria..

-> Candidate must secure 60 % and above in 12th for GE ( General ), OBC ( Other Backward Class ) and DS candidates.

-> Only 55 % needed for candidates who are SC ( Schedule Cast ), ST ( Schedule Tribe ) and PD ( Physically Disabled ) in their 12th std exam.

-> Candidates can attend IIT - JEE only twice in consecutive years.

-> Those appearing in the final 12th exam can also apply.

Dear Friend,

High school students are not permitted to give IIT/JEE exam. Min qualification for appearing in this exam is ten plus 2.

First please complete your SSC and thereafter you can proceed further for examination. Please work hard to success. All the best to you.

Regards,

Ramjash

  • In order to appear for IIT-JEE exam you need to have 60% in 10+2 exam.
  • As you said you have scored 58% in 10+2 exam,I am sorry to say that you cant appear for IIT-JEE exam.
  • But dont loose hope you can try for other exams like AIEEE,MHT-CET,other enginnering entrance exams conducted by other state boards.
  • You can apply for 3 times in consecutive years only for AIEEE exam.
  • AIEEE exam is conducted every year once.
  • For more information related to AIEEE visit the official website:

The Minimum Percentage of Marks in 12th for Candidates belonging to GE, OBC and DS categories must be at least 60% marks in aggregate. Whereas, those belonging to SC, ST and PD categories must secure at least 55% marks in aggregate. So if you fall in the quota category then it is OK otherwise you are not eligible.

No,

You are not eligible for IIT JEE entrance examination. To appear in the

IIT JEE entrance exam you need minimum pass the 12th std with PCM

stream with at least 60% marks. But you have 58% marks in the 12th

std then you not certify the eligibility criteria of IIT JEE so you are not

eligible to apply for IIT JEE. So, please go for another entrance exam.

If you want to get more information regarding IIT JEE examination

then please see the official website of IIT.

Dear,

If you belong to SC/ST/PD class , then you can well and sure go for the exam as the eligibility criteria says that for the SC/ST/PD class , the minimum % required is 55% .

However , for the general category , OBC etc it is 60% marks in class 10th.

A candidate can apply for the IIT-JEE only twice.

More details:- http://jee.iitd.ac.in/.

Thanks.

Hey friend,

IIT JEE - Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Exam

As you have only done your high school, you are not eligible for the IIT JEE exam as the minimum eligibility is that you must have passed +2.

Refer the below information for eligibility needed:

Eligibility:
  1. The education qualification needed is a pass in +2 with 60% aggregate.For SC/ST it is 55%.
  2. The candidates must have done their higher in science stream with PCM
  3. The candidates must have born on or after October 01, 1980 are eligible for the exam.
  4. For SC/ST and PD candidates the upper age limit for them is 5 years from the prescribes limits.
  5. The candidates must submit their physical fitness certificate.

The exam consists of 2 stages for selecting the candidates:

Screening Test.

Main exam.

It is better that you finish your +2 in PCM stream and then apply for the exam.

Hi

I must tell you that the IIT authorities are very strict and particular about their minimum criteria that makes candidates eligible for the IIT exam.

Since its minimum 60% which they require, and you have 58.. So you cannot apply for IIT anymore.

You can try for AIEEE and other REC's but not IIT.
All the best.

Yes, of course you can appear in IIT-JEE exam though you have secured 58% in high school.
Actually, the criteria to appear in IIT-JEE examination is that:
1. A candidate must have secured 60% and above marks in PCM to appear in IIT-JEE (for general only). While for SC/ST/OBC candidates it is 55% only.
2. A candidate can appear for two times only which is consecutive.
