Re: Is it possible to appear for IIT-JEE with 58% in High school?
The Minimum Percentage of Marks in 12th for Candidates belonging to GE, OBC and DS categories must be at least 60% marks in aggregate. Whereas, those belonging to SC, ST and PD categories must secure at least 55% marks in aggregate. So if you fall in the quota category then it is OK otherwise you are not eligible.

You are not eligible for IIT JEE entrance examination. To appear in the IIT JEE entrance exam you need minimum pass the 12th std with PCM stream with at least 60% marks. But you have 58% marks in the 12th std then you not certify the eligibility criteria of IIT JEE so you are not eligible to apply for IIT JEE. So, please go for another entrance exam. If you want to get more information regarding IIT JEE examination then please see the official website of IIT. http://www.iitb.ac.in Regards ~Mukul~ |

Re: Is it possible to appear for IIT-JEE with 58% in High school?
Dear,
If you belong to SC/ST/PD class , then you can well and sure go for the exam as the eligibility criteria says that for the SC/ST/PD class , the minimum % required is 55% . However , for the general category , OBC etc it is 60% marks in class 10th. A candidate can apply for the IIT-JEE only twice. More details:- http://jee.iitd.ac.in/. Thanks. |

IIT JEE - Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Exam As you have only done your high school, you are not eligible for the IIT JEE exam as the minimum eligibility is that you must have passed +2. Refer the below information for eligibility needed: Eligibility:
The exam consists of 2 stages for selecting the candidates: Screening Test. Main exam. It is better that you finish your +2 in PCM stream and then apply for the exam. |

Re: Is it possible to appear for IIT-JEE with 58% in High school?
Hi
I must tell you that the IIT authorities are very strict and particular about their minimum criteria that makes candidates eligible for the IIT exam. Since its minimum 60% which they require, and you have 58.. So you cannot apply for IIT anymore. You can try for AIEEE and other REC's but not IIT. All the best. |

Re: Is it possible to appear for IIT-JEE with 58% in High school?
Yes, of course you can appear in IIT-JEE exam though you have secured 58% in high school.
Actually, the criteria to appear in IIT-JEE examination is that: 1. A candidate must have secured 60% and above marks in PCM to appear in IIT-JEE (for general only). While for SC/ST/OBC candidates it is 55% only. 2. A candidate can appear for two times only which is consecutive.
