Is it possible to change engineering branch from Diploma Civil to BE/B.Tech IT?
Sir, if we have completed Diploma in branch of Information Technology then can we take admission in Civil branch in degree colleges for pursuing B.Tech or BE Civil? Further, will we be eligible for lateral entry scheme?

Candidates pursuing in diploma course are eligible to get admission in B.Tech course through lateral entry in 2nd year of the course.
Entrance examination is conducted by various institutes for admission. But, there is limitation as candidates are not eligible to change their stream as in respect to the diploma course. So, you will be not eligible to get admission in Civil engineering course. |

Diploma in three year course after 10th and candidates passed the course are eligible to get admission in 2nd year of B.Tech course through lateral entry.
But, candidates are not eligible to change the stream. So, candidates passed diploma in IT are eligible to appear in the examination for admission in B.Tech IT. So, you are not eligible to get admission in Civil engineering in B.Tech. |
