Re: Is it possible to pursue CA after 10th standard without doing 12th?
CA stands for Chartered Accountancy. There are three stages of this course. First stage of this course is Common Proficiency Test. This test is conducted by Institute of Chartered Accountants of India twice every year in June and December. The eligibility criteria is that candidate can register for CPT exam after 10th board exams but they must do 12th in order to appear CPT examination.
No, it is not possible to appear for Common Proficiency Test without pursuing 10+2 from any recognized board. Candidate must do 10+2 then only he/she can apply for CPT examination. |

The eligibility for Chartered Accountancy course is:
1. Candidate must do 12th from any board like CBSE, ICSE, NIOS etc. Then only, they can apply for Chartered Accountancy course. Candidates from all streams are eligible for Common Proficiency Test. Your friend's daughter can not apply for CPT without doing 12th, she must pursue 10+2 so as to apply for CPT. |

Re: Is it possible to pursue CA after 10th standard without doing 12th?
No, it is not possible to do CA without passing 12th standard. Because the very first stage of CA is CPT(common proficiency test). But for appearing in the CPT exam you must have to qualify your 12th standard from any well affiliated school. So it is not possible to do CA without 12th class.

Quote:
Then comes the IPC course which can be directly applied if you have completed graduation and then do a 3 years article ship to move forward to attend the CA Final exam to become a Chartered accountant. There is no way you can become a CA by just having 10th qualification. |
