NDA exam is conducted by the UPSC twice in year.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR NDA EXAM :-

XII Class / Equivalent passed certificate conducted by State Board / Universities. Candidate appearing for above examination can also apply.

Unmarried male candidates only

Age between 16 1/2 to 19 years

Nationality - A candidate must be either:
A citizen of India, or
A subject of Bhutan, or
A subject of Nepal

Eligibility criteria::

1.the candidate should complete 12th standard fron a recognized state board of india

2.age limit 16.5yrs to 19years

3.candidate should be physically fit


4.candidate should be a citizen of india

5.only unmarrie male candidates are eligible

The candidates who have 10th standard qualification can join Indian Army. The selection process is based on the exam conducted by UPSC. This is for the post of Soldiers and Technical officers. For the post of officer the candidates requires training from any reputed Army Institute. Those who have 10+2 can apply for the NDA and for joining IMA the candidate should be a graduate. The NDA and CDS exam are carried out by UPSC twice in a year. The procedure includes a written test, physical test and medical test. A group test and personal interview will be there also at final stage. Separate exams are conducted for both the graduates and 10+2 candidates. The training will be also given separately. For the post of technical assistant the candidates should be between 16 to 32 years and to join as a soldier the age limit is 16 to 30 years

For applying Indian Army after engineering you should prepare for the CDS exam.
CDS means Combined Defence Services, this exam conducted by UPSC.
This exam held twice in years.
From this examination you choose where you want to go; Army, Navy, Air Force

You should have complete 12th class with any stream from a recognized university.
And your age should be between 16 1/2 to 19 years.
If you fulfill with this criteria,then you can appear for NDA exam of this year.
Issuing of application form from 31st Dec 2011 to 30th Jan 2012.
And exam will held on 15th April 2012.

Hi friend,

There are two types of exams for joining in to INDIAN ARMY. You must

clear one of the two exams to enter into the indian army.

They are NDA and CDS exam.

NDA exam is for joining army as a soldier. You can write this exam

with just a pass in 12th std. That is after finishing school you can write NDA

exam.

CDS exam allows you to enter any of the three defense services. And

it allows you to enter inside as an officer. This exam needs a graduate. Which

means you need to finish a degree to get eligible for writing CDS exam.

Dear sir, I am a student of law third year. I have cleared my ssc exam i.e,10th and I have cleared HSC i.e, 12th now going to clear graduation. So please can you guide me to get there. Which entrance exam to be given?
