hello
i have just completed my 12th std with
physics maths n computers as my subjects
so am i eligeble to join the indian army
and if yes then how to apply for indian army addmissions????

Yes, you are eligible to join in Indian Army after completion of your 12th standard from a recognised board. To join in Indian Army, you need to appear in NDA entrance examination which is conducted by UPSC twice in a year. Eligibility Criteria required to appear in NDA examination is mentioned below :-

1. You must be a citizen of India.

2. You must have completed 12th standard or equivalent from a recognised board.

3. You must be an Unmarried Male candidate.

4. You must have attained the minimum age of 16 1/2 years and you must not have crossed the age of 19 years.

By satisfying the above mentioned eligibility criteria, you can appear in NDA examination.

Selection Procedure :-
1. Written Test
2. Personal Interview
By qualifying in the above mentioned two rounds, you can join in Indian Army.

To join In Indian Army the candidate must have appeared for NDA Entrance exam conducted by UPSC every year for the Recruitment of candidates to ARMY, AIR FORCE & NAVAL wing.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR NDA :

* The candidate must be a citizen of India.

* Candidate must be Unmarried Male and have not born earlier than 2nd July, 1996 and not Later than 1st July, 1999.

* For Army Wing : Candidate must have passed 12th class or its equivalent examination from a recognized State education Board/ University.

* For Air Force and Naval wing : Candidate must have passed 12th class or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as subjects from a recognized State Education Board/ University.

IMPORTANT DATES :

* Date of Notification : December 27, 2014.

* Last Date for application : January 23, 2015.

* Date of NDA examination : April 19, 2015.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE :

* Candidates can apply Online by http://www.upsconline.nic.in

* Application fee should paid by available modes as prescribed in the application form.

NDA stands for National Defence Service Exam. NDA examination is conducted for 3 wings-Indian Air Force, Indian Navy and Indian Army.

The candidates who have completed the 12th standard from a recognized board or equivalent exam are eligible for NDA exam. Final year of 12th standard are eligible for NDA exam. NDA exam doesn't require any percentage marks in 10th standard.

Your age should be in between to 16.5 years to 19 years. There is no age relaxation for SC/ST candidates. Female candidate's are not eligible for NDA exam.

Procedure to join Indian Army through NDA exam:-

Written test (Conducted by UPSC)

Physical and Medical test(Conducted by SSB)

Interview(Conducted by SSB)

Height in cm-152 to 158.
You can apply for NDA to join one of these three wings-
Indian army,Indian navy or Indian air force.

Eligibility for NDA-
You must be an Indian citizen.

Your age must be in between 16.5 years to 19 years.

You must have 12the passed.
