what is the procedure for entering into excise department?

Hi Aspirant

Well Yes you can join the Excise or either the Income tax department as a Inspector or as a Assistant but for the department you have to write the ssc(Staff Selection Commission) Exam Because the ssc department is recruiting for the Excise department of India ..

You have to write the staff selection commission common graduate level exam and which is conducting by the department every year and the notification of the cgl comes normally in the month of the April and exam conducts in the Month of the July .And their is 3 stages of the exam First One is tier one and than the Tier ii and than the last one is the Final Interview ..

Here is the Format of the SSC CGL:

Tier i

Maths
Reasoning
English
G.K

Each have 50 marks and a total of 200 marks
Also a negative marking of 0.25 marks

Tier ii

Maths
English

Each have 200 marks and it means a total of 400 marks
And the negative marking per wrong answer is 0.50

The Final Interview
100 marks

Well if you are able to go to the Interview stage and able to clear it with good marks than you will get the good post for sure but it depends on the merit list ..

Eligibility Criteria for the SSC CGL:

> The Aspirant must be pass in the graduation degree

> The Final year degree holders are also eligible for the exam

> The Age of the candidate should be between 18 to 27

> The age relaxation for the obc and sc,st of 3 and 5 years

> Their is no limitation on number of attempts ..

I have been removed from cisf for overstay leave and I have been selected for excise inspector in 2015 batch. Then there will be any problem at the time of joining of excise inspector. Please, reply soon.
