i am a b-tech 3yr student, my trade is electrical $ electronics engg.(E.E.E.) and i want to join the indian army…how can i apply for the test. what is the procedure give in detail. plz

Yes your aim is really good and Army is a good carrier and it is well respected job with lots of dignity.
After your BE degree, you can apply CDS exam conducted by UPSC.
The eligibility criteria for CDS exam is a graduate.
Also you can try for
UES- universal entry scheme
SSC- short service commission.

you can join Indian Army only after you have passed your b.tech degree with the minimum of the 60% of the total marks ...
then you can apply for the CDS or the UES exam or the SSB .......
then after clearing any one exam you can get into the above......

if you want to join the Indian Army after BE then there are several option for you...
1. write several exams like CDS, UES, TES, etc..
2. try for technical entry as an engineer
3. join the SSC

You can join Indian Army by appearing in CDS examination or SSC examination. For both the examination, minimum educational qualification required is to be graduate in any stream. Final year appearing students can also appear in the exam.

Engineering students can also join by University Entry Scheme (UES) for which candidate must have minimum 60% marks in BE/B-Tech. Final year appearing students can also apply for the exam.

The exam is conducted by UPSC and it is done twice in a year.

Education criteria for CDS exam:

For Military and Officers training academy:

A degree from a recognized university is needed.

For Indian Naval Academy:

A degree in the field of engineering is needed.

For Air force academy:

A degree from a recognized university with physics and maths at 10 and 12 level or a B.E degree is needed.


Eligibility criteria:

For Indian Military academy:

Only male unmarried candidates with 19-24 years of age are eligible.

For Naval academy:

Only male unmarried candidates with 19-22 years of age are eligible.

For Air force academy:

Only male unmarried candidates with 19-23 years of age are eligible.

For Officer's training academy:

Unmarried or married male candidates with 19-25 years of age are eligible.

Hello friend ......

You can join in the Indian Army after the completion of the B.Tech engineering degree by giving the CDS entrance exam .

The CDS exam is conducted by the UPSC and the eligibility for the same is a minimum of the graduate from any discipline from a recognized board or university .

The age limit is 21 years to 30 years for the general category students and there is the upper age relaxation for the OBC(3 years) and for the SC/ST(5 years) candidates.

see, there have many ways through which you can join in Indian Army.

1.through UES scheme. which exam you can appear in the final year/prefinal year of your B.Tech (ECE).

2.through UPSC exam. this exam you can appear after your graduation course.

3.through CDS scheme.

to join in Indian army 60% marks in through out is essentially required.

A Engineering graduates can join indian army

• join in the 3rd year or that final year through the UES(University Entry Scheme)
  
• or after completion of graduation through Technical Graduate Scheme, by appearing before the Service Selection Board.

In both the cases you can be posted as a captain.

and also you can apply for Combined Defence Services examination as a regular/short service commissioned officer..

• For regular service training will be Indian Military Academy , Dehradun..
  
• For short service Officer’s Training Academy, Chennai...

Short service is for 5 years and after completion of 5 years either you can resign or opt for an extension for five years or a permanent commission.

For EKT and TES one must have the graduation in engineering field..
The candidates age should be in between 19-25years..

As you said that you in B.tech 3rd year , so i suggest you to complete your degree then only you can apply for any entrance exam for Indian army.

for joining in Indian army you have to appear in CDS , UES , SSC
etc

after clearing the above exam you can only join Indian army.

you should atleast have a degree of recognized university.

After B.Tech (ECE) you will join Indian Army through SSB (Staff Selection Board).

Indian Army is a central government organisation. Indian Army open this vacancy only for the technical candidates.

Indian Army recruit the candidates from all India entrance exam.
Minimum percentage criteria is 65 % and Minimum Age Limit is 18 to 27 years for General candidates.

In this exam there is 6 to 7 rounds i.e.
1. Written Exam 2. Group Discussion 3. IQ Test 4. Physical 5. Cycological Test 6. Medical Test & 7. Personal Interview

You can go for Army in the final year of Engineering. You can get entry to UES , SSC ang TGC after graduation.

After passing B.Tech per final year you can join Indian Army under University Entry Scheme(U.E.S)
Total vacancy under U.E.S is 60.

ELIGIBLE FOR U.E.S:-
Age between:- 19 and 25 yrs
Qualification: Pre Final year students of Engineering Degree Course
Marital Status:- Un Married
