this is shivani .please tell me the procedure for admission in b.ed courses .

Bachelor of Education is one year course that is generally taken after completing graduation courses like BA, B.Com or the B.Sc. Bachelor of Education is generally pursued by the candidates who are interested in teaching field.


It is absolutely necessary to have B.Ed degree to become school teacher. It does not matter whether you are applying for government schools or the private schools, it is absolutely necessary.


Generally candidates after completed B.Ed course apply for the Teachers Eligibility Test (TET). B.Ed degree is one of the requirement to apply for the Teachers Eligibility Test.


Now to get admission for the Bachelor of Education you will have to appear for entrance exam. But before you do to make sure you are meeting the following requirements.


Eligibility

1. A graduation degree in any stream.

2. At least 50 percent marks in graduation.

3. Other Backward Classes candidates need 45 percent marks.

4. SC/ST candidates need 40 percent marks.

5. Your educational pattern should be 10+2+3.


The exam pattern for the B.Ed can vary from state to state. But generally the pattern mentioned below is followed.


General Awareness Test

Teaching Potential Test

General Mental Ability Test

Language Proficiency Test

Language Proficiency Test: English and/or Hindi

Graduation is the basic educational qualification required. Degree must be obtained with a minimum of 50% marks. Concession in reqired marks is given for reserved category candidates. Entrance test is often conducted by Universities for admission. Punjab University, Delhi University, etc carry out entrance test for selection.
