IAS Stands for Indian Administrative Service and to become IAS Officer you need to apply for the UPSC Civil services examination, This examination was Conducted by UPSC Every year.

So, If you are Interested in this examination then you have to complete your Graduation degree course in any discipline form a recognised university. Final year Graduate candidates are also apply for this examination.

So, If your age should between 21 to 30 years, Then you are eligible for This examination, The Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates.

There are 5 Year Relaxation is applicable for SC/ST Candidates, For OBC Candidates 3 Year Relaxation is applicable in age.

>> The examination was Held in 2 stages, Preliminary examination and Main examination, the Preliminary examination was Objective and there are 2 Papers in this examination, So Firstly you have to cracked the Preliminary examination and then you are eligible to sit on Main examination.

Number Of Attempts -

>> For General Candidates - 4 Attempts

>> For OBC Candidates - 7 Attempts

>> For SC/ST Candidates - No Limits.

So, If You have completed your Graduation degree course then please apply for this examination Next year, The Dates and Schedule for Next year UPSC Civil services examination was already Updated and the Notification was Going to be Published on 04/Feb/2012.

UPSC conducts civil service exam every year. Yeah there is reservation category for SC. The age relaxation available to this category.

Eligibility:
1. Graduation degree from a recognized university.
2. Age limit 21-30yr and 5yr age relaxation for SC/ST, 3yr for OBC candidates.
3. Three way to recruitment. a. Preliminary b.Main c. PI

Attempts:
1. 4 - General Candidate
2. 7- OBC Candidate
3. No limits - SC Candidate

Eligibility Criteria For IAS


• Age limits :

-> 21-30 years as on 1.7.2011. (Upper age limit relaxable for SCs/STs, OBCs and certain other categories as specified in Para 3(ii) of Notice).

• Educational Qualifications :

>> Bachelor’s degree of a recognised university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physcs, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Enginerring or an equivalent qualification.

• No. of permissible attempts :

-> Four (Seven attemps of OBCs and no limit for SCs/STs

Civil Services Examination is a nationwide competitive examination in India ... All candidates must have a minimum of any of the following educational qualifications: ... category candidates; To SCs/STs, there is no limit on the number of attempts. ... will be called for the interview subject to their respective reservation quota.

Indian Administrative Service examination take place in every year under the UPSC.

Eligibility Criteria : You must have graduation and your age must be in 20 to 30 years.There are 5 year age Relaxation for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC.

IAS (Indian Administrative Services) is basically for those who are firmly determined for dedication of themselves towards the own country.

If you are so interested for IAS,after being Engineers, Doctors, or Ph.d you can sit IAS exam conducted by UPSC.

Application forms will come out in the month of January.

According to the new exam pattern of the IAS exam

1) General-Studies paper which carries 150 marks

2) Optional paper which carries 150 marks.

Eligibility Criteria :-

1.Educational Qualification:To appear in IAS exam you should have a Graduation degree in any stream from a recognize University. If you are in final year you can also eligible to apply for the examination.

2.Age:The age must be between 21 to 30 years at the time of appearing of this examination. The age relaxation is also applicable for the candidates belong to reservation category.

ias means indian administrative service for upsc conducting csat exam.elogibility condition is graduation any stream.for sc candidate u more chances and age relaxation as compare to general candidate.

Dear Friend,
It is very appreciable that you want to become an IAS officer in future and want to serve the nation.

To apply for the IAS you have to appear for the Civil Services Examination conducted by the the UPSC.
The eligibility criteria for the examination is that a candidate must be a graduate in any stream from a recognized Institution.
The age of the candidate must be between 21 years to 30 years.

Age relaxation of 5 years is given to SC/ST and Physically Challenged candidates.OBC candidates are provided with 3 years age relaxation.

A general category candidate at most four times can appear for the examination where a SC/ST candidate can attempt up to 7 times.

Indian Administration Service (IAS) exam is conducted by upsc every year once.

Eligibility criteria for IAS examination:
Education qualification:Candidate should have complete graduation degree with any stream from a recognized university.
Age limit:Age should be between 21 to 30 years for general category candidates,21 to 33 years for OBC category candidates,21 to 35 years for SC/ST category candidates.

Number of attempts:
4 attempts for General category candidates
7 attempts for OBC category candidates
unlimited attempts for SC/ST category candidates

Indian Administration Service(Preliminary exam) Notification for this year:
Issue of application form from 4th Feb 2012 to 5th March 2012.
Exam will held on 20th May 2012.
Indian Administration Service (Main Exam) notification for this year:
Exam will held on 15th Oct 2012.
Yet notification details,were not update,i hope they will be updating notification after preliminary exams.

IAS means Indian Administrative Services and is basically meant for those aspiring candidates who have strong dedication towards the country.

India holds a UPSC examination every year and on the basis of this examination a number of IAS officers are recruitment.


Eligibility Criteria :-

The minimum qualification required for appearing the competitive examination is Graduation.
Many professionals like Engineers, Doctors, persons with Ph.d qualifications are competing for UPSC.

Age Limit
Age between 21-28 year and relaxation for lower cast.

Application forms will come out in the month of January.


Paper pattern has changed in IAS 2011 exam.

Paper Pattern for IAS 2011 exam :-

Unlike present,now there are two objective type papers carrying equal marks, in which
1) General-Studies paper carries 150 marks
2) Optional paper carries 150 marks.

Instead of one compulsory paper of General Studies and one Optional paper, both the papers shall be compulsory.
