As per the constitution of India there is provision of age relaxation and reservation for reserved category candidates.
Reserved Category refers to the categories that are socially and economically challenged and hence for their upgradation these are provided with age relaxation, marks relaxation in cutoffs of various competitive examination and reservation of seats in government jobs and government aided educational institute. As per norms, age relaxation of 3 years are given to OBC category candidates, 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 10 years for Physically handicapped candidates & ex-servicemen. Also, for various government jobs and educational institute 27% seats are reserved for OBC category, 15% for SC category and 7.5% for ST category. To get exact information about the facility of reservation and age relaxation that is followed in particular examination you must read the information brochure of that particular examination. |
